go peep out some Pro Compe Xtreme mud terrains! for the dough, they own all those tires...
there ok ive got a friend thats running them. they dont like mud though the tread gets clogged up pretty bad. not to bad on the rocks though. i ended up getting the duratracs talked the guy down to around 700$ for the set and they will last and do pretty well offroad. when i get to doing my solid axle swap then i may look into some more aggressive ones
-
i like them and they look pretty bad ass, if you wanna stick with good year the Good year MTR's are pretty nice too..
Either that or if you wanna go for broke some Nittos Mud Grapplers, my friend at work has them in a 38 on his Ford f-150
http://www.nittotire.com/#index.tire.mudgrappler
EDIT: Discount Tire FTW
i love how both of those tires look but they are so noisy on the road that it would be somehwat impratical to commute to school and work everyday. the mtr's look the bost of those 2 imo. check out the new nitto trail grappler even better than the mud grappler

ive been looking into theese tires to replace my old bfg all terrains. i personally think they looks pretty cool
http://www.off-roadweb.com/tech/0909or_goodyear_wrangler_duratrac_off_road_tire/photo_02.html go through a few pick in that album and tell me what you think. the size im getting will be a 33x12.50
thanks in ad advance

Try 1.5cu.ft. @34hz with 25sq.in. of port
took the words right outta my mouth lol
-
I'm going with the z v.2 15". Thanks guys.
np man thats also a good choice theyll sound real good too good luck with your build
-
heres some good options
dc power 270xp
iraggi 260a
mechman 270a
i WOULD NOT run that amp on stock eletrical. way to expensive to basically ask to mess something up.
but as far a subs go you could do 2 HDC3 18's and if you wanna go the dc route id do a lvl4 xl rather than a lvl5. the ateam has mentioned many times on how you need 6+k in power for the lvl5 to get louder than the XL
-
how do i fix "electrical"?
doing the "big 3" adding more batteries and getting a high output alternator. what kind of amp is it and what kind of car do you have
-
Yeah there's really no great spots to put them I've noticed. I was gonna put mine in the A-Pillars but I like your idea.
yea hyst make sure you are patient with cutting the holes i messed up on the one on the drivers side a little bit and it has a few scratches around it but the passenger side lookds good
Nice vid bro! <-- Even though that smiley doesn't work anymore
haha thanks man

I think imma steal your tweeter mount location for my ranger
haha thats fine with me. its kinda the only place that looks good in there.

240 and stock +yellowtop
hmm alt's are pleanty of power but you maw want one more battery. mabyee something big like a D3100 that should compleatly eliminate your problems
-
ive heard really good things about them aucually i cant remember where but ive seen a blow through build using one somehwere around here. i pounded none the less. but as far as the electrical goes how many amps is that alt and how many batts total
-
also remember that capacitors are useless in almost all applications if you have to ask if you need one you dont you need a battery.
-
Oh, gotcha. I guess I assumed the XLs came out first.
Well, this makes me pretty happy. I can use the saved money on subs and buy some better amps. Sundown 2500Ds, perhaps?
i hope your referring to a 3500D. sundown doesnt make a 2500
-
as he always says, he doesnt have the money to do it correctly lol
haha yup. in the end hees going to go through the harsh realization that it cost less to do it right the first time than it does to do it wrong 5 times then do it right after you've realized you've fucked up
-
just get a jl w7 mang cause errybody knows dey bump
-
it does stress the alternator, as the internal workings of the unit were not made to handle that kind of load over periods of time.
call me a dick for saying it, but after warnings form an alternator manu about why its not good to do and you still doing it...id probably laugh at the car catching fire because "it works just fine"
hahaha. your hilarious man. but yea i care more about my car all together then have a "little" more power until i get a real alt. plus if you have alot of batteries it stresses the alt even more i see flames in the future
-
robbie, i did plenty of testing on the bench alt, and it worked fine, so i moved it to the car and it looks as tho its working fine running at 15.19v
pics time
should hold me over till i get down to you at the end of march robbie
pretty interesting but wouldent this put shit loads of stress on your alt
-
hey guys just got my sae-1200D installed recently and got some vids up tell me what you think. i think it made a huge difference in output and clarity.
-
Right now I have no clue. I might be able to snatch a massive 3000.1 for a trade for a temporary amp
id go witht he new 3500D or an RD3250 they both can be had for pretty cheap theese days
-
what amp are you planning on running?
-
iirc its the most dj puts on the 18
more like 3500+ model
hees going to need about 4k to get it moving good haha. good luck. let me know if you need any help with box designs i just finished building one for an 18 HDC
New Tires on my ranger :) new pics added
