  1. What he was arrested for is what's confusing about all this

getting arrested isn't a big deal. It happens to the best of us. But what you do to save your own fucking skin afterwards is what matters. Let me make that clear. None of us are saints. But if you do something to get in trouble you take your punishment and do your time like a man.

these are felony drug charges... seem pretty serious

really has nothing to do with it

  2. Im feeling a little sceptical but the CJ guy says he can get me a frame, and recone hmmm

Good luck getting enough spider to allow any excursion. I know you look to have changed your mind a bit which is a good thing.

Just a quick FYI, the Level 6 coil is 3.5" in diameter. It doesn't leave you with much meat on a typical 9.25" spider.

The new 6 spoke basket that Fi/Crossfire came out with will accommodate a 10" spider. Look for the Crossfire XSv2 12" in a blowthrough in the near future.

Incorrect. The Level 6 uses a 4" coil. To be built it would use a TC frame and 10" spider. Same spiders that are used on the 15" and 18" versions.
Oops, I was thinking of the Level 5.

Can I see a tape measure on the Ti basket to show it's truly a 10" spider? My Crossfire C7 12s utilize the 4 spoke Ti basket and I've been told they are only 9.25" spiders. I know there is a reason that Roger won't put the big XS motor on my basket and that's because he said there isn't enough spider, hence the reason they tooled the new 6 spoke Ti basket with TRUE 10" landings.

    they are true 10" spiders

I'm sorry, I need proof. I need to see a tape measure on the spider and spider landing to believe it.

Not trying to beat a truly dead horse, but.... on your web site.

    9” OD Linear roll spiders

site sucks hasnt been updated those are the old spiders if you noticed the 15 isnt on there eithere thats how i know they are larger =)

  3. the suspension isnt the issue really, im going to do my best to explain this. the magnet is larger in the frame so if put into an enclosure the majority of the back wave gets blocked by the motor and it kills output say you flip it and invert it once you start to put power to it the cone will start hitting the spiders because the cone is a few inches away from the spiders just how it is so when it starts to really move they will hit....now if there was a way to space the cone off the spiders it may work idk for sure but would still have to be inverted and the output probably wouldnt be all that great nor worth the trouble in my opinion. no idea if that makes sense but hope so

  5. Have fun with a Level 6 12, as far as I know it's only been done once and the results were less than stellar.

It's been done before and like 88 said, the results weren't what you'd expect. If you want a sweet 12 that will work mechanically try using a sp4 12. I have a feeling you might be in for a headache of you make those 12 inch level 6s

    Level 6 is a turd anyway,...imho.

cut its legs out from it, meh.

So you want the level 6 motor (that isnt all that) on a smaller basket, smaller coil, smaller spider?

    sounds like a win.

it wouldnt be a smaller coil or smaller spider but there is a reason lv6 12s arent made.... they dont fucking work

  6. i think trying to do it like that you will run into a ton of issues, id love to sit here and tell you everything will be fantastic because technically my job is to sell dc but id rather you be happy and not waste your money, for 8s to be used as midbass they need to be upfront as much as possible i know some people that mount them in the fire wall we do the kicks thats the ideal situation, if thats not something your up for i recommend looking into hybrid audio the clarus set the offer has a good amount of midbass and sounds fantastic audiointensity.com is an online dealer for hybrid and dc and scott the owner is a national sq champion so he knows what he is doing when it comes to this

  7. somewhere in this build log there are pics, originally were sealed now are converted to infiniti baffle, welded 1/4" steel rings into the kicks filled any gaps with glass and now when i get off my ass and finish them will have some cool trim around it
