yeah sorry about that reran the numbers and came up with 34in length 32.04 hz the 18in length will give you 38.29 hz but i did not take into account any bracing just the sub im using bass box pro 6 for the record
thanks so far guys i have 4 or five of the flared ports at home tight now and a few spare subs i may do some tests boxes but any more info would be great
wow really well given the setup i have i guess you could understand that, my 9887 has 4 volt that led to a tld-66 that outputs about 7 volts rms to my amps but yeah i dont get how pioneer is getting away making things that cheap well we shall see how good they are i have little hope for them given the in dash units i've had from them i feel the same way about them that you do about eclipse i guess
well i guess if i had to keep in that price range i'd go with the Eclipse AVN6620BT has just about everything and is a little cheaper than the jvc it has bluetooth , nav 5 volt preouts, full screen, ipod ready and a decent eq
sounds like a bad remote cable or port on the unit had the same problem with my brutus amps I just gave up on using the remotes all together hope this helps.
so if you want to do those dimensions you would need at least an 8in port to get into the 30's and that would be 38hz if you only have the 5in to work with you will end up with about 44hz hope that helps
the hifonics 6410 is 85 a chan and just to let you know those infinty 6x9s cant handle that they are over rated maybe more like 70 to 80 rms and as far as the rockfords those are the shallow mounts so you may want to account for that too i watched a pdx 4.100 fry those 6x9's before, that is if your trying to stay under 200 bucks shipped. Just my insight
I have a 2004 corolla i need a set of pods built for the A-pillars for a set of tx4001 comps. I can do it but i hate fiberglass and would rather not fool with it.
well most people that i see with them run 3-4 thousand to them i mean look at meade for an example 4000 a sub the 2610 will probably give you between 2400-2800 depending on voltage but no more than that.
I will soon be building a new enclosure for 6 0f the new 12in 5500 mtx squares and i am trying to decide on a port method I would like to see big numbers on the termlab. My question is what are the pros and cons of a kerfed port vs a standard slot vent vs flared round ports. I have used used both slotted and round flared. I have plenty of room to work with as it will be a wall but don't know which will yeild the best numbers. Thanks for any help
