  1. lol they sure as hell were. i took them out today to lay down some insulation because they were shaking my rear deck real bad and it started rainin like a bitch outta no where (gotta love florida weather) and i was working in my small ass car, hotter than hell i was just getting frustrated. but yes raytard u did say that first lol but i thank everybody for the help!!!
  2. alrighty ima give it a try real quick and see what happens ill be back ina bit. thanks everybody
  3. so just switch the pos. and neg. of one of the speakers and it should be straight?
  4. yeah they both are moving fine. its just when one is playing is has very nice overtones and moves through the car very nicely but when both are hooked up its just not nearly as good. and the other speakers sound fine until i crank it hard they crack a little but im pretty sure thats just my fault of a bad connection somewhere.
  5. well the amp is rated for 100w per channel at 4 ohms. atleast thats what it says
  6. i honestly have no clue what the outputs are rated at. how would i find that out?? and as far as the settings go ive checked everything and it all looks good. and as far as the voltage goes idk. i dont have a meter . but i can tell you i have zero gage wire from the alt. to the brand new battery and i havent upgraded my grounds yet but i previously had a 1000w clas d with a 15 hooked up and that ran fine wether that matters or not.
  7. ok so i just amped up my mids and highs along with a my kenwood 6x9's. before i amped up the 6x9's they were playing off my h/u and they sounded great. now all of a sudden when i amped them up they just dont hit as hard. im running them off a alpine v power 400x4 amp.the 6x9's are rated at 80w. i noticed when i unhook one of the 6x9's just the one sounds great just as it used to. but when both of them are hooked up it sounds like crap again i figured it was the gain and filter settings but ive adjusted all of that and nothing has really changed. im stuck and dont really know whats goin on. any got any idea's???
  8. oh wow. who woulda thought. any diagrams i could see of one just tot get a better idea?
  9. well i dont know much about trucks but i know my car does something similar. try cleaning out the idle control valve will carb cleaner. theres a little screen in there so just try to clean that off. i did that and my car was idling better but it still did the same thing. i figured out its just my a/c fan whenever it turns on it lowers the rpm's. if the fan is off balance just a bit it will just wiggle and shake so that might be whats happening to your truck too.
  10. does the 2200 in the 2200d refer to its rms or max output??
  11. speaking of a dead battery i just bought a new one. had autozone test my alt. while they were at it and they said my alt. was barely pushing one amp out.......so i took it to a real shop and had it tested.....not a DAMN thing wrong with the alternator. your local auto parts store more than likely has staff that arent exactley quite up to par just so ya know.
  12. what song is that again??? sounds good though man nice set up
