  1. Ok so I recently picked up 20sq feet of reg Damplifier from Wheel Class(only place in Ontario) to get rid of the aweful rattles in the trunk of my car.

    Here are some pics

Let me tell this stuff works awesome, my lid now rattles very minimally, I have a before and after video of tapping certain spots.

I would have included a before and after for when the bass hit, but I blew my subs half way through the install so... enjoy

Let me tell you, being 6'1" and 220lbs, it was so hard maneuvering in there haha

  2. I think it's a huge load of port noise, does the sound get's quieter if you turn it down at like volume 10?

It has the same "rattle" but not as violent

how big is the sealed box and how big is the ported ? i'll try and help you out there too

I believe it was 0.9cu.ft sealed and 0.6cu.ft ported

I took the port out and I think the sound is coming from the woofer itself or something else inside, I don't think its the port anymore

  3. one thing i remember from your other thread was your sealed part was to big

and the ported is tuned to 30 hz which means your probibably tuned low low low

re tune the port closer to 60 hz and you'll notice a difference

    edit

after watching video that sounds like shit you need work on enclosure more before you blow another sub

ok thanks for the info, i will take out the port today and cut it down a few inches, its a 9inch PVC pipe, ya i know ghetto

  4. WTF is this? Canadians don't have power tools! Don't you guys have igloos and stuff? There's no electricity up there.

LOL jk man. Looks good! Also looks like someone knows their shit. Posted his equipment and box specs right up front. Even put the cut sheet details! Can't wait to see how this turns out.

Ya I've been around and seen the comments on other ppl's builds, I usually see "MORE PICS!" or "VIDS NOW!" lol so I know I had to post some stuff

I only live an hour from Buffalo, were not that uncivilized till you get to the northern provinces, where its negative temperature 24/7/365 lol

  5. I personally like the build. It's something small but looks like it'll get the job done. Don't consider your car ugly. From my experience with my Aztek, I've came to realize that cars can't be "ugly", but only "intensely unique".

its a lot bigger than the old bassoworx box i sold. It was ported to 42Hz i believe, I heard a friends 12 at 35Hz and I liked the lows a lot so I'm making this. My car hates the lows, my sunroof unsealed itself when I had his 12 in. Thank god it was snowing and not raining

  6. Ok so I am a high school student, and I am CANADIAN

    Setup:

96 chrysler concorder (quite possible the uglyest car of the 90s, or all time)

    HU: Pioneer DEH-2100

    Sub: 10" Alpine Type S (S4ohm)

Amp: Alpine MRP-M500 hooked up with 4gauge monster cable

Speakers: factory infinity - (2) 6x9s, (2) 5 1/4s, 3 tweeters (found the stock amp in the trunk when I ran the 4gauge in the summer)

I am making a 4th order bandpass single reflex enclosure

    (4) 21.75 x 12.75 inch pieces

    (3) 12 x 12 inch pieces (one for baffle)

port has a 3" diameter and 9.5 inches long tuned to 30Hz

    Sub porn (not really)
