  1. When are these going to be available for your northern neighbours in Canada?? Thanks, Alex
  2. Ok so I recently picked up 20sq feet of reg Damplifier from Wheel Class(only place in Ontario) to get rid of the aweful rattles in the trunk of my car. Here are some pics Let me tell this stuff works awesome, my lid now rattles very minimally, I have a before and after video of tapping certain spots. I would have included a before and after for when the bass hit, but I blew my subs half way through the install so... enjoy Let me tell you, being 6'1" and 220lbs, it was so hard maneuvering in there haha
  3. Anyone have experience with the amp at 1ohm? thanks in advance for any help
  4. I set the amp up so the woofer wouldn't bottom out, with the gain at 3/4 and the bass boost at 12of12 it was bottoming out, I turned bass boost to 6of12 and it stopped.
  5. haha its definitely a fixed up woofer. The original surround "ripped" so I put the surround from my alpine type S that I blew before.
  6. heres an update, went ahead and made a vented enclosure with the MDF I had left some specs on the enclosure are 1.3sq ft and tuned to 35Hz, this thing moves air here it is in the back seat (not permanent place) a new video will be updated within the hour
  7. I am unsure what to do, I only have a 4ft x 4ft slab of MDF left. I can either make a ported box with that or wait 2 weeks for my next pay check to go get another slab at RONA.
  8. It has the same "rattle" but not as violent I believe it was 0.9cu.ft sealed and 0.6cu.ft ported I took the port out and I think the sound is coming from the woofer itself or something else inside, I don't think its the port anymore
  9. ok thanks for the info, i will take out the port today and cut it down a few inches, its a 9inch PVC pipe, ya i know ghetto
  10. Its not, it sounds the same with the gian at 1/2. I think its my port but I'm not 100% sure And if someone knows how to embed the video that would be great. I cant get it to work
  11. And heres the next victim... And now heres the finished product with a little problem...
  12. I made a 4th order bandpass a few months ago, and ended up blowing the sub an hour after its maiden voyage... Here's the build from the beginning
  13. lol ya maybe a recone, or might buy a type r or somthin to pull the full 500 rms out of my amp
  14. Well I would be putting a vid up of it right now... but... something kinda happened about an hour into its maiden voyage... I thought type s were suppose to handle 300W rms, BUT I GUESS NOT!
  15. Its done, heres some pics... will make a vid tomo when everything should be dry...
  16. ya the jacket on the wire is massive, its bigger than my 4 gauge power wire. I will be taking the jacket off for the wires inside the box
  17. OK just siliconed the inside, and got some new sub wire... I used to have Alpine 14gauge, now have Monster Cable xtreme sub wire, looks like 10gauge. Picked up 5meters on sale for $10, i think it was a good buy, even though its a cheaper level sub will have it done tonight, hopefully test it out friday...
  18. Did some work today... Just gotta silicone the edges, mount the speaker terminal and port in the last 12.75 x 21.5 inch piece tomorrow, it should be alive friday...
  19. Ya I've been around and seen the comments on other ppl's builds, I usually see "MORE PICS!" or "VIDS NOW!" lol so I know I had to post some stuff I only live an hour from Buffalo, were not that uncivilized till you get to the northern provinces, where its negative temperature 24/7/365 lol
  20. its a lot bigger than the old bassoworx box i sold. It was ported to 42Hz i believe, I heard a friends 12 at 35Hz and I liked the lows a lot so I'm making this. My car hates the lows, my sunroof unsealed itself when I had his 12 in. Thank god it was snowing and not raining
  21. Ok so I am a high school student, and I am CANADIAN Setup: 96 chrysler concorder (quite possible the uglyest car of the 90s, or all time) HU: Pioneer DEH-2100 Sub: 10" Alpine Type S (S4ohm) Amp: Alpine MRP-M500 hooked up with 4gauge monster cable Speakers: factory infinity - (2) 6x9s, (2) 5 1/4s, 3 tweeters (found the stock amp in the trunk when I ran the 4gauge in the summer) I am making a 4th order bandpass single reflex enclosure (4) 21.75 x 12.75 inch pieces (3) 12 x 12 inch pieces (one for baffle) port has a 3" diameter and 9.5 inches long tuned to 30Hz Sub porn (not really) The uglyness that's salt covered... some garage shots Yaaaaaaaaa... its cold, and this is in the garage, -15 or so with wind chill Got the wood cut thats it for now, will put the pieces together tomo
  22. ya I waited there an hour, no one showed, accept a few other ppl who also showed up and left after they saw the closed sign lol, I guess I gotta go back monday then, gettin 20sq ft of Damplifier for my trunk... oh and if Ant sees this, can he tell me how much it is in Canadian dollars? if he knows anyway...
  23. I just drove an hour to wheel class in fonthill, ontario, the only place in ontario that sells second skin, it's almost 11am and it's closed!!? Like common, it's regularly open 9-1 on Saturday
