Looking for a new 1200 for now. D or S, doesn't matter. Won't be going back under the hood this time.

After sitting overnight, the 1200 is down to 12.04v. The 975 is at 12.3v. Shitty.

975 came off the charger at 12.7v and is already down to 12.38v less than two hours later. Still gonna charge and check the 1200, but that voltage doesn't seem good...

Yeah, gonna do the fuse checks in the morning. Too dark already, and I need to get some AAA's for my meter. IF it is a fuse, hopefully its in the engine bay fuse box, not the one buried under the glove box.
Appreciate the help. If anybody can think of any off-the-wall shit or anything, fell free to post.

Get a test light and start pulling fuses till the light goes out.
I just undo the battery terminal with the test light in between and once the light goes out you'll know which circuit to look into.
Yep thanks. Eric the Car Guy has the vid I was looking for. Might have just enough daylight left to check underhood fuses.

There isn't one. Or map lights.
I do have a hot wire for the headunit, but double-checked it and its definitely not shorted on anything(which would blow fuse #20, been down that road LOL)

Was about to go out for a drive and car wouldn't start. Cranks but won't fire. First thing I did is check the batteries. My underhood S1200 is sitting at 10.9v and my rear D975 is just over 11v. WTMF is going on? Just drove the car yesterday with no sign of any problems. I do leave my dashcam on, but i've been doing that for years. No headunit or amps in the car.
Throw me some suggestions on what else to check for draw. I know there was a site or post about parasitic draw, but that was a while ago and can't find it.
975 is on the charger now, but Im just about ready to let this bitch go. Way too many gremlins, and they come and go out of nowhere.
Just buy something factory-fast.

Im good as far as fitment, just have to mod the dash kit.
But, I wish you hadn't said anything about the 1/16", LOL don't think I would have noticed. Im sitting here looking at it, and even measured, and its there.

You must use the negative speaker output on many Sundown (and other) amps.

Start at the headunit, then set each component in line. Its all in the instruction manual.

My opening is 1 1/2 DIN, though. Sometimes I want to find a Ford engineer and kick him/her in the teeth.
