we have two prototype Obsidian 18's here that should be going intotesting this coming week....based on the great experience we had with OA-12s and 15's this should be a great sub that will dig low and sound excellent granted it's not a monster when it comes to bl/cone area, but it's great for a daily sub and the price-point can't be beat dd I believe makes a 2518, which is also a 2.5" coil in a similar sized motor

There's huge SMD following here in Russia and the car-audio scene is growing very rapidly as most of you can tell by what me and the other guys post. As soon as the SMD DD-1 became available in the US, we have been recieving inquiries from bass-heads from all over Russia about getting one. Haha, thanks man that was shot and edited by one of our teamates, he does incredible work with the camera (look at his youtube channel for other vids) that is me in the avatar and the same truck, I used to rock some hair, yeah, but then global warming hit and I decided to get a shave to stay cool during summer this is me like 3-4 years ago and this is me (and my wife) this summer

Ok, so as some of you may know, me and the guys at D Style Audio are about midway through finishishing my blowthrough build with 4 z18v3's in my Dodge Ram build-log is here http://www.stevemead...sundown-russia/ for those that want Cliff-notes: vid just before the build here's the truck after a new paintjob this is the box - designed by Team Nemesis Derrick :thumbsup: installed Current electrical consists of a Mechman 320A alt, XS Power D6500 under the hood, two D2700's in the bed - two runs of positive and negative - Shok Industries 0awg .... we will add more bats in February when the next shipment of bats comes in Subs - z18v3's :thumbsup: This is the amp we're using for this build - it is a prototype we are testing for Russ at Shok industries..it's a beast of an amp..I'm sure those that are familiar with guts of high power Korean amps will have no problems identifying what it resembles and and what power is to be expected... we have so far clamped it at 7200watts with a drop to 11v.. score was 154.5 @36hz here's the vid of that we have since done a best of 154.7 @35hz with that amp.... my current range from 30 to 38hz is pretty flat - within tenths of a db so, right after we metered the 154.7 (this was after a fresh charge on the bats with the awesome XS Power HF1215 intellicharger) we shot some vids for fun and then we had some business to take care of - test some NS-1s that just came in before shipping them out to teammates outside of Moscow and we knew NS-1s are some strong ass amps from a previous testing and competitions with the prototypes, but the results of this drop-in test were a surprise to us...pretty much right out of the box we gained 0.2 dbs over the best score of the other amp :runaround: and the best part? less voltage drop Me being happy Sundown Audio FTW!! :thumbsup:

Just to add to what I was saying earlier, here's our August 2011 testing data...this is with the old bats, the gains down quite a bit and the subs not broken in it was peaking at 157.9 @ 42Hz at that point on the same track - VIC - say Bow 155.2 на 25 hz 155.8 на 28 hz 156.2 на 30 hz 156.6 на 32 hz 156.9 на 34 hz 157.2 на 36 hz 157.5 на 37 hz and 157.xx from 38 to 42

are you trying to bust our balls or something? that song hits the current peak of the truck the way it sits now, which is 41-42hz ...it also does 160+ all the way down to 38, and 159+ down to 35. plays down to 25hz with less than a 3db drop.... we have posted a full range of scores from 25-40hz earlier, albeit at a slightly lower power level this truck is also fused on all power runs...one of the problems we have now is when playing full tilt the fuses between the battery bank and amps start to heat up and we start loosing voltage there. However it is not a problem to demo for extended periods of time in the 158-159 range Hey G-Skillz is there a buildlog of this truck in the forum, i nominated Drugban´s system for SOTM. Thanks man it should be either here in the Sundown section or in the members builds... either me or Drugban started it way back

or seen any pics of such installed? just the lowering shackles without a flip kit? thing is, I have a 2003 Ram RWD and I got Belltech 2" drop shackles.... but compared to the stock ones they are longer.... is this how it's supposed to be? any pics of them mounted? I googling all over the place, but can't find anything with just the shackle installed...they way it looks - these will raise the back of the truck 2" instead of lowering it

Anyone have any examples or ideas?
