Yea, flinkster's making a good point but I'm sure he'll be fine with that alt. I did 2 Sundown 1500's in my buddy's explorer w/ a 135 amp alt. and it takes it like a champ. No dimming and he's always at a constant 13.1-13.8v. I used a stinger 800 up front and 2 of the new small stingers in the back. You may want to look into upgrading your starter battery as well. Yea, I actually just sold my 15" Mag... amazing sub. I'm in a toss between the following... 2 18" Q's 2 AQ HD315"s 4 12" SSD's The amps I plan on using are the new Clarion 1500 watt amps which do 1500 at 1 and 2 ohm. Any input?

What would be 2 good 15"'s or 18"s that can get Damn loud but still have the potential of winning sq awards? Looking for tuning between 30-32 for daily driving. Not trying to break the bank either. Thanks, Andrew

So with the 14v config. of batteries you would be at 14v pretty much no matter what?

Oh true. Wouldnt that be optimal for daily driving? The 14v i mean. Most car batteries are your standard 12v... isnt your alternator what puts most systems at the 14v mark?

I've been hearing alot lately about using different sized batteries (ex. 6v and 12v) to create different constant voltages. Just wondering how this works? What would I need to do to create a 14v or 16v system?

Does anyone know of any component speakers that run around $160 or less per set or $350 total that will get extremely loud and have minimal distortion at high volumes? I'm looking to run 2 sets of 6.5" components in my front doors and then 2 pairs of eminence tweets behind my front seats. I'm looking for a setup that will be heard crystal clear across a parking lot. (amp is a zx650.4, later upgrading to a zx200.2 for the tweets)
