So I got my new audiopipe amp last thursday, along with my new wire. I am going to run the big 3, and all new wires for my amp as well as build a new box. So what I have so far is two 10" alpine type-r dual 4ohm subs, an audiopipe 1500.1 amplifier, jvc headunit. I have my box plans laid out (35"x20"x20") with a 3.5" port tuned to 32hz and a total of 3.8 cubes of air space. And am going to run my subs at 1 ohm. I will have pics very soon, but I got to get my new camera which will hopefully be here on friday. Let me know what you think so far.

throttle body
Kprice89 replied to t-money's topic in Engine and Performance - Anything for that couple extra horses!
Ok then I would say ya go ahead and do it because that intake will probably have different sized intake runners(just guessing) so you will need a larger inlet for air. With having a different intake and catback exhaust, you notice more hp gains and response in performance. -

Sorry to say it but your not gonna notice hardly anything from just that. Most people and manufacturers tell people that they will see a 10-15 hp increase or fuel mileage increase, but it is not true. You can put it on and it will be just fine without upgrading anything, but I would probably put on a aftermarket intake also that is the same diameter. Then you might notice 5-10 hp all together. In my opinion I wouldn't do it if you don't have any other performance stuff done to it. -

no u wont need bigger injectors. Why are u wanting to put a bigger throttle body on anyway? -
If it was me I would do the big 3 first and see if it helps since it is wasy and cheap to do. Then I would resort to a better battery. Having a bigger batery will not hurt your alternator. Also I would check and see what your output is on the alt. just to make sure that it is supply'n enough amperage to charge the battery.

What the f@#$ would make these homo's want to do a video like that and then have enough nerve to put it on youtube? Thats one f'd up video, and disturbs me.

I'm looking for a alpine mrp-m500 amplifier or even a Alpine mrp-m1000 or RF 1000.1bd. If anyone has any info on any of these let me know. It would be appreciated. Thanks, Kyle

Hey mike, How much would shipping be to missouri? That looks like a better deal than what i could get from my audio supplier. -

thats what i was thinking, was that i could do 3 coils per amp but was unsure. Im very confident in my abilities, just not confident in knowing if you could actually do it. -

I was just wandering, i didnt know if it was possible. more than likely im gonna go with 3 and 3. thx for a lil bit of input though. -
I have a question, it might be dumb or a good one idk. I was wandering if i could take two mono amps and three subs and connect all of it together. My situation is taking 3 alpine dual 4ohm 10" subs and 2 mrp500 watt mono channel amps. i didnt know if somehow or another this could be done and if so, how? any help would be appreciated. thx

I personally would go for the type r's, they bump pretty good. I have two and they are the best subs i have ever owned myself. I've heard some infinity's play and I personally dont like the sound they produce. If these are the only two types your looking at then I'd say go for the type r's
