  1. sorry to add to this thread hi-jacking, but this doesn't work for me and access to these symbols would be nice. would it have anything to do with my using vista or firefox?? but back to topic - nice build. Makes me wish my lotto numbers would come in so I could afford build something this sick. I like how well hidden everything is. It's impressive to see a system that big that's inconspicuous.
  2. I've been considering 2-18's in a wall for some time now, but thats not going to happen until I have something other than the probe to drive daily... not fitting a lot of grocery's or luggage with a wall. I'm thinking I'm going to build a 5cf. box with the port and sub facing the rear. How low is your tune in the probe? Right now I'm tuned to 33hz and I'd like to keep it low if the car will sound decent with it.
  3. yeah, that was the first thing I tried. sub up port back. sounded terrible. I started with the box against the seats and kept moving it back an inch or two trying to find a spot it liked. nothing. if the box would fit I would try sub back, and I think it would really help
  4. One thing I've been noticing... It's a lot louder with the windows up. with everything else I've had its been a little louder with the windows down. Not sure if this points to a specific problem but I thought it was worth mentioning.
  5. well, I plan on building a different box for it to better fit the car and hopefully get a little more out of the setup. I'm thinking I should go bigger, say 5 cubic feet. But I'm still unsure what is going to work the best as far as sub/port placement and tuning is concerned. any help would be appreciated.
  6. Just finished an install on my 95 probe. Put a DD 3515 in 3.5 cubic foot (after displacement) box with 2 - 4" aeroports at 17.75". Hooked to a RF 1000a2. Box is a standard CRX design. I've been toying with box placement and right now its sub up port to the side. Sounds decent, but a friend had this exact setup in his 98 Explorer and it was quite a bit better in there. So I'm assuming the problem is related to box design, tuning or placement. Any suggestions?? here is a pic of the setup when it was in the explorer to give you a better idea.
