  1. Lawdamn....datsalottaspeakerzupfront..

    Lookin good as usal Steve.

Glad to hear bout Burrito too.

Just keep pluggin/chippin away @ it and b4 long I'm sure it will be up and running and ruining peoples Day....year...LIFE.....and Chicken should be quite happy w/ what you've done.

    Respect on them doors/pillars sir.

    Top notch as usual.

  2. Great to hear he's pullin through it.

Hospitals are not so fun and I'm sure he aint feelin too well but from the sounds of things he's well on his way home and to the freinds and fam.

Once he is up and at em he's got a legit reason to just play on here all day and rest/watch some TV while he heals/recovers.

Shitty way to catch a lil "vacation" but I guess that's lookin on the brightside for ya :P

Get well soon sir, we are all pullin, hopin, and prayin for ya to be home soon.

    ~Chris J.

  3. My preference on personal defense pistols:

    Glock

    Springfield XD

Kimber,Springfiled/Para Ordenance or other 1911 base

    Berreta

    Ruger p345 is nice

Sig is a good shootin gun but I'm not a fan cuz the grips are a bit "too fat" (or long rather-back of pistol to front... not side to side...but I have wide hands w/ short fingers)

A browning highpower or CZ75 would be sweet but a all metal frames are lil too heavy for my taste.

  4. Damn dude I hate this kinda shit, it happens to me all the time too.

I have been bummin rides off folks this week cuz my rides been in the body shop since the 26th...to fix some shit they did WRONG back in 2004!

And it's so true....CA=some terrible ass, no liscence, unregistered, no insurance having, dodging the govt, already on parol/probation douche bag NON-drivers.

And they have a tendencey to zero in on the nice shit to mess up.

Hope all goes as smoothely as poss and you don't get stuck with a Ford taurus rental like I did last time.

  5. those pillars are going to be bad ass . so im assuming you resined the pillar first to make a soilid base for the new pods right. as soon as i see how its done right i want to try and make some for my truck.

If you look at the 3rd picture in ur quoted string of pics...

the piller/cover looks all "gross" and black/rough...

He most likely did the same thing he did for the doors which is his "new" way suggested by Ray of Audio Innovations: Contact cement a cloth/fabric to the panel 1st and let it dry...then resin it again and that dry so the resin of the outer shell has something to "grab" onto other than the non-stick surface of the panel.

But I'm sure he'll correct that^^ (if im misunderstanding the procedure myself) tomorrow morn.

  6. does any one know how accorate the audiocontrol epic150 is i know its not 100% i have one in my truck it reads 155db when i had it in my integra it metered at 152db used my bosses termlab meter? think thats the brand it metered 142 so i figure its about 10 db off

Thats a good Q and there si no real "accurate" answer.(pun pun)

I have maxed my system out at 150db on my epic 160 which is mounted just under my head unit, front and center dash...I can get it to high 140's on my epic daily windows up or down so I'd say my avg peak (including waether variation/voltage drops/surges/etc) is about 147-8.... and the newst TL score I have is from feb 10th at autorama which was 146.3 on a TL in the usaci "globe" mic setup in the kick.

so that's only about 3.5-4db diff.

I'd say the lowest I've done on a recent TL was over a year ago at a battle of the bass, windows down, mic on the dash/windshield and I could only muster a 144.5db. At that time my epic was reading 148db, and it was a pretty cold day in march or feb I think.

Just some of my exp's. w/ it.

  7. Much improved.

Seriously, showin up to basic with that old style....I'm pretty sure someone would have made it their mission in life to make your time there miserable....Hell I think even I woulda

    think of this....

    Pros:

    Your more aero-dynamic this way

Chicks like to rub ur head ( or mine anyway)

You don't look like a stoned out surfer schmuck.

    Hoooya.

Edit-Just don't name your rifle CHARLENE, and sleep w/ one eye open Pyle.

    <_<

  8. so ur trunk is actually the box??? if so i would fiberglass the spare tire area

    Is what I am saying.

Also..I din't realize you were doin a 4th order via a port....but unless you seal off the subs from the trunk lid and rest of the trunk sheetmetal...get ready for "der der derder der der derrrrrr" from that ass end.

Maybe dynamant the hell outta it at least or at least glass over the whole outer trunk ...area and I would still do the tire well.

Every singe person that I know/know of who has relied on "just foam" or "silcone" to seal a box that uses the vehicle's metal/body as part of the box... as you're doing with the tire well....has blown it out and had shitty results.

Not tryin to hate just hopefully save you some hassle later.

  9. Looks kinda counter-productive to be blocking/sealing off the rear deck like that...

What is ur logic behind this?

I'd say make the rear deck as open as possible to get as much air/pressure/bass into the cabin as possible and minimize trunk rattle.

..Unless you're a fan of the "aluminum cans in a bag" sound emenating from so many "scrapers' " trunks these days.

And I hope for your sake that foam holds up.

I woulda glassed the tire well.

  10. It's prolly not my place to interject here but....

    THAT^^ is a toss up.

If I was selling for 150shipped....and got an offer for 250shipped, I would contact the original buyer/payer w/ a chance to pony up/match it, and if he said no and thougt I was trying to jack the $$ up then it would STILL be a tough decision...but a $100 is worth "burning" one contact in form of a FULL/prompt refund.

It's a tough call though, so I'd say both should consider this a lesson learned.

This kind of deal is always a sensitive one and OFTEN a gamble.

Bump for a great price pending no complications...I'm still trying to find a home for this, hopefully in my buddy's ride.

  11. Then maybe some wood filler to cover the screw holes and some flex stone paint and you'll be pimp.

You will want to try to "save" or collect your mdf sawdust so you can mix it with wood glue to make some nice (cheap) wood paste to fill in over the screw heads.

    ...Flexstone paint = "pimp".....

    Oh yea "Rio Linda" :P

46" from left to right x 41" high x 32" from back and thats if i even measured it right

This in A LOT trickier than it looks.

The measurements stated are the max dims for "the big open area" in the trunk....

It's a crown vic, so there's the "lil shelf" area up under the rear deck (where ur amp rack was origionally) and then there's a "big open area" farther back after the drop off/step down.

The only way I see to really maximize this setup is custom build it so it fires or breathes through the rear deck and get the pressure into the car rather than just in the trunk with minimal blow through.

You're still trying to pressurize the trunk if you build another box like the one you have and port or subs up/back/sidways isn't really gonna make a diff you're still fighting an uphill battle until you remove the trunk airspace from the equation IMO.

But I already said all that in PM...I don't know why you're still gonna go about it the way the current box is "having no idea what you're doing" w/ regards to building it....

I guess if you feel you can swing it go for and it'll be a major learning experience.

I will always offer any tech support I can... and Mr. Giant SUV w/ 16 subs (Kingsuv) Knows a thing or 2 about pressurizing a lotta air and sometimes seeing minimal gain upfront.

    Good luck Bro.
