  1. Those plugs ARE pertty G, man.

Looked like 4x3pins in each one....that's 12 pins each...24 pins in the 2 plugs....11 speakers in each door is 22 leads (11+'s, 11-'s)...24-22=2 lefty's....so just leave 2 empty? or somethin planned for those?

    Just curious.

Where they from? ...If I may ask, & how much they run?

I don't think i'd ever need that many but extra info never hurts.

Lookin clean as hell bro, keep it up.

  2. Hick jea dood.....jickin fedders!

    DOY!

It's just another lightweight medium to hold/trap/support the resin or other glassing material...he said he used other fillers too....i think....and it's basically just a means for folks in the phillipines to glass new parts for their lil mopeds/scooters/etc rather than have to pay a bunch of $$ for the glass mat or materials derived from plastics/polyester... that comes from elsewehere, they can make use of the stuff they have a surplus of...in dis case, da jicken fedders.

It kinda like tryin to make ur car run on garbage or veggie oil to save $$ instead of having to rely on gas/motor oil.

It's a novel idea but I would really likek to see some accurate load testing done on the strength/resiliance (sp?) and weight comparisons of traditional matt to dese jickin fedder parts.

    BUH-GAAAWWWWK!

  3. It's the amp.

Just don't push it so hard until you can replace it with a more overbuilt amp.

The kac 9152D is rated at 500rms @ 4ohm, 900rms @ 2ohm, and NOT reccommended for 1ohm use at all.

I would say it's only 4ohm usable if ur gonna push it hard...but 4ohm aint really pushin it hard by "most" folks standards..mine included.

It's just a cheap amp...it's not meant for competition use or evan hard labor like a RF/Kicker/Sundown/etc.

Just look into a more overbuilt amp, and maybe sell the oen you have to help pay for the upgrade.

It's a fine amp for an easy listening or SQish daily, just not really capable of even running 2ohm very long w/ out going into protect.

Check out some reviews on it they're pretty much all the same..protect issues.

edit* It's a monoblock...how is any of the previous info/recommendation gonna change anything? The AMP doesn't care if you use both +'s and -'s or not... it's a mono block amp.

  4. Thats just how those amps work...sadly.

The lexus I built I used the same ones (kac 9152D)...one for each HX2 15...@ 2ohm they protect a lil too easily. But thats all they're doin.

If you wanna beat on it harder than it will let you...upgrade to a more solid amp.

It's kinda to be expected from this inexpensive of an amp...but I agree it sux and it pissed me off when the owner of the lexus (and the Jenky mustang I put the same one in) told me it was doin this.

You need a RF T1k, Kicker zx1000.1 or similar amp.

  5. I dunno if those numbers are "crazy" but "good" that is for sure.

2 15's in an SUV, that's tough cuz of all that air to compress, so that's impressive...

That's more juice than I thought they could take.

I ran 2 of the older 15's sealed and did a lil over 140db TL (146 on a/c 160) w/ about 300rms total (2 rear channels of a SS ref604) in a hatchback (Integra) but yea lots less air to compress.

Nice work and some good info.

I would like to see what they do in the Altima...you're gonna do that one next right?

  6. sarcasum dude...just messing with ya! hence y i put the :lol: at the end of it...

    <_<

    sure sure.

I just can't stand finding good deals in the "new"section...only to find out later they were "run for a few months" or are refurbs.

I think sarcasm....or this sarcasum you speak of require the J/K.

    Carry on.

  7. techniqly these are BNIB too.....they are all seald up and wrapped in the original plastic and boxes :lol:

    Uuuummmmm.........NO.

Sorry bro but if they were I woulda already bought them from ya.

    BNIB:

Brand NEW, In Box....meaning having never been powered...never ben run in a box,OR freeair, still factory new suspension and everything.

I WISH I could find some TC 1000's like that...but then I'd be running 6 of em

Not trying to be a dick here but what you said is false advertising.

  8. Imma have to throw $0.02 on this one:

    I currently run 4 CVR 12's...

I also currently have 4 CT 1000 12's as my replacement setup if I ever get time to rebuild....

I would recommend grabbing BASS14's Tc 12's over some used CVR12's, as the TC's are awsome subs from my research...Not to mention he's throwing in a 600watt rms alpine amp!

That said, I have YET to run mine so mY opinion of them is all hearsay but it's alll been good hearsay.

The CVR's are good woofers for the $$$, but since you can get them BNIB on ebay for $75each shipped, I would advise against paying more than that for some cvrs, esp used ones.

The Audioque SD2 or SD2.5's would be niice too tho.

  9. you guys must have trouble with a particular member??? lol

... my original idea was to put a box on stilts over the back seat subs back port back into the hatch.

but wanted to get opinions from people and what would work best. this is for daily sql. 40/60.

No real problem with any particular member, just noticing a horrible trend that I have a problem with.

There may be one member that seems to be the master of this error despite getting that sign I posted about 3-4 times already.

    Welcome to the site.

And KNOWING most folks have far short enough attention span than to make it past page 3 of the memebr builds/showoff section...here's a Camaro Basshead did...simple yet effective.

I know this one is newer, but same idea/design principle involved.

  10. i see alot of people looking. are my prices to high or something?

    Since you asked, yes.

Im not in the market for ANY this stuff, so I have little interest in them... however I'm ALWAYS open to a good deal....

Ebay, BNIB are lower than what your asking.

I assume from the pics this stuff is used....right?

ebay beats those prices on BNIB stuff....so considering it's used stuff...you might consider looking into the abay rates for used ones.

Just my 2cents, since you asked.
