  1. "Tocatta in B"

If I am not mistaken this is the song that is playing in the "GATOR HUMP" video of Chickens Caddy.

I was wondering if anyone knew how I could find/get/buy/DL/ or w/e it.

I have searched and I only found the original "Tocatta in D" but it's the lamo version form the Phantom of the opera and there is little to negligible bass. I think the other one is a remixed/remastered version for bass heads prolly off a Bass Cd.

Any info on this or a DL would awsome.

    ~Thnx.

  2. I have a box I built at the same time/summer I built my current setup and I prefer my current setup so I am selling the other box & amp rack.

It's a custom fiberglass/mdf box, very sturdy and fairly heavy.

It was built for 2 Kicker 15's and gives each woofer 3cubic feet each after displacement. It could very easily be slot ported and I could do so if anyone's interested.

The bottom is glassed/tubbed exactly to the shape of the spare tire well of a 1994-2001 Acura Integra (gen 3) 2 door/hatch only (will not fit the 4dr's trunk).

The top is fiberglassed and covered in Black vinyl w/ nice stitching that I paid a shop to do. I also have an amp rack that fits it perfectly and keeps amps hidden behind the seats, but ready to show w/ seats folded down.

I have had a couple of Integra owners interested but everybody always flakes cuz no one I've talked to that owns an Integra can 1: Handle 140db+, 2: Accept the wieght gain of a large audio setup, 3: HAS ANY $$$, or is just to much of a douche in general.

And no I'm not saying this is true of all integra owners (esp since I AM ONE), just seems to be the trend around here...way too many ricers concerned with mph rather than db.

Nevertheless, I have one pic handy it's not great cuz i think it's a cell phone pic of the paper copy. I can post as many pics/angles if anyone is interested in buying the setup, but I'd really rather it be a local pickup than trying to mail it cuz it's friggin huge, kinda.

I will post the one pic and see who responds if any, then we can talk $$.

Here's the rack too but it has since been cleaned up and black vyniled.

  3. iPod is not legal in comps? :R :'( :V

    DUDE!

ok this has me concerned so i gotta ask.

I just picked up a new deck despite NOTHING bein wrong with my old one other than the skipping at high volume which i have attributed to the vibrations since it will do it on a brand new cd but only at 145db+ (my indash AC mic not TL).

My idea was to run the iPod adapter cable to an iPod and use mp3's like you were talkin about and avoid the skippage that has cost me scores in the past.

So i guess my real question is if anyone knows why is iPod not legal and in WHICH ORG'S? like IASCA,USACi, DB Drag, Battle of The Bass, etc?

    Anybody know?

    Steve?

  4. WITH ear protection- "I give I give!"

    Nice work as always Steve.

I finally got give my long time buddy who's been in and out of town and never heard MY car a demo: he's kinda an SQ guy and I hit em w/ that Young Jeezy #15 (trap or die i think).

-Nothing like ur reactions of course but I got the "...loudest I've heard in my life" line and a "it's kinda hard to breathe in there".

I made sure he knew how I get sh*t on regularly at comps, by Steve himself and numerous others. He saw ur EYEBALL attack and all could muster was "that's...Nasty!"

Keep em comin man, you kno we love to watch;-)

  5. The word is "Priorities".

Not to mention w/ so many damn buttons, knobbers and do-hickies, rolling down the street/hwy, shifting gears, tweakin the audio, watching for POlice, trying to switch tracks, kill the volume and answer the "underballs tucked cell phone"...Steve has got his hands full and should prolly have em on the wheel most the time instead of resting on the center console.

Oh and did I mention the distraction of the 2-18's hammerin the back of the dome and blurring everything.

I can only imagine what being in THAT cockpit w/ everything goin FULL TILT would be like SITTING STILL, let alone mashin in traffic.

Steve's right: keep it simple ;-)

  6. I agree w/ most of the already said stuff.

I started buyin/readin em one at a time and just taking notes, bookmarking stuff over the years. I think that magazine and others like it (Autosound, Mobile Audio, and Lowrider mag. even) played a big role in my develpoment as an installer/audiophile.

With the internet explosion I can explore more options/in more detail, and thus the mag is a little obsolete. But like Steve I keep one in the bathroom and a few at work so I can get my co workers hyped up over an install w/ good pics. I literally have a stack of them as tall as I am at this point...and yes it takes more than 5 issues.(I'm like 5'4'' ish.)

  7. Nice start.

I hear good things bout those batts and so small. Stock Civic/Group 51 location and that's 1400 ca or cca?

as for advice...maybe make sure you've checked out Steves "before the theft" build of his civic although from the box design (isolated/trunk spare tire port) sounds like thats your model/blueprint. I couldn't blame you tho- that civic took more than one trophy from me Down at infineon raceway.

Keep postin pics- i'mma follow this for sure since I have a 2 door civic build comming myself.

  8. I think that was directed to my post? If so thnx ffry. I had to rush on the amp rack so he could make the Freekmont meet and he had "the best audio setup" out of the 4 "built setups" in Z32's (non prefab/BS).

Nice rides for sure. I cant wait to redo my good buddies Z32. He is rollin 2-10w0's running off JL e1200 in a custom setup (not built by me) right now. Sounds nice inside but nothing like what I would've/will build in there :D

  9. Thank you sir.

    I appreciate that.

Like they say practice makes perfect so I try to convince my buddies to "let me" hook them up and go as crazy as I can to try new things/hone my skills as I go. I hope everybody will do the same and maybe we can collectively raise the bar in "street beat". Seeing bad setups really pains me. I find my self hookin up strangers w/ in line fuse holders and bigger /better grnd hookups in parking lots just for the sake of keeping jenk setups to a minimum.

Thnx again for the props. I'llpost more pix as they show up.

  10. This just reminded me ;-) I have pix of my buddies Z32 cpe from a lil while back...sadly/thankfully he's got the bass bug BAAD now and wants to go from 2-10's to "as much as we can cramm in there". Sadly the old box will come out...thankfully 6-12's are planned for next summer and if it goes down no doubt I will be taking lots of pics. here's his current setup (built by me of course).

    "Minimalist" System was:

Eclipse Cd (He had it already I forget the mod ##)

Arc Audio KAR 230 5 1/4's comp set in doors.

No rear fill yet but the power is there (5 ch amp)

Phoenix Gold Otcane R 9.0:5 5 channel amp

    (2) Alpine Type R 10's

Custom 2 tone vinyl box in spare tire well with cover and grills

"Z" Amp rack by yours truly (no lights yet other than blue LED on amp logo).

    Ride:
