Damn man, im sorry. That sucks, I could tell you really liked that car. It's even worse since you just got it and started getting it to where you liked it.. I'm sure you'll come out back on top soon. Feel better! -
DC Audio back in the ranger :)

Haha I feel you! It's such an annoying noise. I'm stuck with you there, I need to just put a solid pane in mine. All the flexing worked the entire seal on the top of the back window loose, so now anytime it rains I have to have a bunch of towels in my truck. I can't even think about going through a regular car wash anymore. lol. That's funny, I'm going to school right now too for all my ASE certifications and stuff. It's so nice having access to our shop anytime I want haha. -

thanks bro, yea my truck has taken a beatin...heres what happend when i had 2 15s at the window line in mine 2 lvl4 15s 1600rms. after that happend i decided to wall it to take the pressure off the window...i fear for my window with these 12s i have now lol as far as up grades i have big 3 done in all 0ga 220a alt. 50sq ft of damp pro....the wall broke all my roof braces so that forced me to get a shit load of deadener. Damn, that's hard core. I swear mine came very close to breaking a lot of the time, I'm sure your familiar with the sound of the slider banging against the other panes of the window. LOL it's not good. Who did you get your alt through? and how much was it? -

Mine is a 1997. It cracked on the airbag cover, I think it was just kinda a weird thing that happened. -

I love your system man. Have you got it metered?? I had two Level 3' 15s in my Ranger: It was way too big though, so I took it out. It destroyed the seal on my rear window, Cracked the dash, broke the dome light off, it was just tearing up the truck. So, I am looking for something smaller and louder, and I might be biting your system exactly. Hahaha Do you have any other electrical upgrades besides the two batteries? And what year is your truck?? -
The sad part is the new age auto tune doesn't sound a whole lot different to me... lol.

that was Pre-termlab sensor.......i was one of the ones that was humbled by that thing when it came out. I lost at least 8db. From doing 153+ at every show to 145-146. I had to claw my way back into the 50 club with the new sensors thats why when someone says, well my boy used to do 165 in 1998 DBDRAG contests, i always chuckle because that 165 could easily be less then 150 by todays standards. Didn't think about that, although, I'm sure a daily driven car like that back in those days must have been nuts to hear still. I could only imagine hearing something back then that was doing a legit 145-6. Nice build, cool to see the Honda before the wall.

I was doing 137s daily with a DC 8" in my truck off like 300w...

Great score for a trunk car either way. What does it play music around? Do you know?
-
I know its a little off topic, but how are you mounting the 5.25"s in your ranger? I drive one too so I'm curious..
-
The headlight housings on it are stock, but have no oxidation or cracking, or any problems. But during an assignment in my automotive electrical class today one of the D-Bags in my group working on my vehicle shorted out the bulb and caused it to go out. So I'm buying these then getting the clears within the next week hopefully. '

Thanks for all the compliments guys I would love to wall it, but current funds probably wont allow me to do that just quite yet. Im thinking about just for the time being doing like a single XL 18 to get some slap, then save up for something big. Like 3 more, lol. I traded my 97 Ranger for it. I think I got the better deal haha. I went through some pretty hard core chit last night in it, like full on trail blazing through steep ass hills for awhile and following some gnarly paths and it was just a cake walk for this thing. Not a problem -

Yup! gonna get it buffed and polished soon hopefully. It moves great. that 454 Vortec and it being geared makes it go. Like it is scary how much power it has for its size lol. Straight traded! System plans, four 18"s (Kinda eh since this is too common now) six 15"s, or eight 10s or 12s. For now im just gonna decide what I want to go with in the long run then build it slowly, get like 2 woofers at first, then two more, etc. -
New to me atleast. 97 Suburban 2500, 454 vortech, clean inside and out, motor tranny and rear end all freshly redone, pro-comp 6" lift with all bilstein shocks. Lots of other great things about this I love it! Sorry for the shitty iPhone picture. Gonna be doing a pretty nice system
