I know when i installed mine in the burban i had the same problem ,after checking into it there is the power antenna (wrong wire) and the remote wire i had the power antenna hooked up and it would turn the amp on in radio mode but shutoff on ipod or cd mode. my hu is the alpine cda 9886 i know this doesnt help with your headlights on off thing wonder if you hooked up the remote wire to your illumination lead behind the hu on the factory harness this would be my bet. also might i ad when i bought the truck it had a pioneer dvd9 hu in it that had no faceplate and when i bought the new unit to install i found that the moron that installed the previous unit cut the factory harness off and wired it up so i had a huge mess to figure out junk yard FTW!!!

i have a 99 suburban and that location in my truck has no tweets in there,i also thought it did but i do have a set of kenwood tweets for that location that will fit nice. I got lucky when i bought mine it already had jl audio in all the doors and rear roof, but no usable head unit i'd do the component set in your front doors and rear doors with a decent amp that will give you a good base to work with then add subs later. atleast you will have a nice sound to listen too to start off with.

decided to try my hand at polishing the new wheels they were nice looking when i got them but i could tell they needed to be polished up so here is the results so far. 2 wheels 4 hours later still have the other 2 to do will get those crackin tommorow. started out using the mothers powerball but the powerball couldnt get in as far as i wanted it to so i did these by hand. tell me what you think. btw i used the mothers in the bottle at first but found the old school polish in the tin worked better. hand cramps are a bitch lol.

i live 20 miles south of lansing in charlotte. the snow pic was the first day home with the truck. i got these 20's off craigslist for $700 tires are brand new rims are in great shape just need some mothers.

ya one of the guys on here is throwing together a design for me, i can build anything but designing one i have no clue how to tune it properly.

I have the p3 12's in sealed 1.09 cube boxes right now they hit decent but i'm dissapointed with the way they are in the sealed boxes so i'm waiting on a design for a ported enclosure myself. and will be purchasing either the 1000bd amp or the 1500bd amp.
