I living paycheck to paycheck and they are only $900 each, every two weeks but I still survive with some extra money for wants. I live with my parents but have to pay $100 rent just to help with food, water, electricity. Other than that car insurance, debts, food & beer take up my money.

I get 88 hours paychecks. I work 32 hours of 4:30-12:30am and 8hrs of 12:30am-8:30am and every other week I work an extra graveyard so that day is time and a half. $12/hr for 80hrs and $18/hr for 8hrs. Its really chill, I do a few patrols and sit on the computer the other times. They always need security and this is a business that will never fade away due to the economy. Plus I get full benefits. I'm enrolled for Medical (I chose Kaiser), Dental & Vision.

You originally said you want to pay $300 for sub, amp & install.
Now you are saying $300 for just an amp.
Which is it?
Are you looking for 1 or 2 subs?
Are you making your own box?
If not I would suggest getting the two Kicker CVRs preloaded in the ported Kicker box, I think Crutchfield sells it. Its gonna want 800rms so you need an amp that will do that at either 1 or 2 ohms depending on what amp you get.
If you don't make the box yourself it will be expensive to have one made for you.

Yeah I've never broken subs in and I've had no problems, I used to own CVRs too.
That amp probably does like what 900-1000rms. So that's a perfect amount since you always want a little more power on hand so you don't stress the amp trying to make the power, but if the amp isn't set correctly then you will have problems.
What are your amp and HU settings?

You have a nice luxury car, mine is somewhat similar, a 99 Caddy STS and under the trunk lid is a nice big pad of foam or something that came stock with the car, IDK if yours has this too but this prevents my trunk from even flexing, it barely moves compared to my last cars (88 Buick, 91 Caprice).

Are these things tuned at a specific frequency? I know they get low as hell...
I don't have the single, I have the Dual for W3's, made in 2004 I believe. Shop I bought it from just happened to have it with the W3v3's in it so I bought it for $600 w/ the subs and I love it. Pic of it in my sig.
The newer ones for the W6 have the air coming over the top but in this design the air is like a ported.
