do it the right way and have it retuned or toss on a carb. if you run it to rich you will fill your head and piston with carbon and or wash all the oil off your cylinders

good luck.. best way is to switch over to a carb. or have some one re-tune it but that costs $$ unplugging the 02 will make it run goofy and your engine light will be on.. and you will have shitty gas millage ( experience on a 350 sbc )

as said.. more airr, intake and a nice flowing exhaust. the log tubes also give you a real nice sound over the short tubes. also look at doin some head work ( vavle job.. port polish ext. ) then if thats not enough go for a cam, and more fuel!

you should be fine with some 14 guage wire.. yoru not running much power threw it.. all yoru doing is sending some power to a plunger type thing to shoot it up and connect 2 pwoers then send power to the starter. so what you do is take a + wire put it on one side of the switch/push button then the other side to the terminal where the wire would connect on the solinoid/ starter.

beat me to it.. also if its 5 speed make sure the clutch is good and not slipping, shifts good into every gear ( even reverse ) listen for noise under accel and decell

look around and look for the highest point you see it... also there is some stiff that glows in the dark that you can add that will help show you where its at. could be a loose coolant line, bad head gasket, bad intake gasket, water pump gasket and the list goes on!

when your sitting there idling yoru alternator isent putting out as many amps as when yrou driving around. so yor batterys will go dead faster

try unhooking yoru battery for a bit and hooking it back up ( it will reset your ECU )

ignition problems.... cheak for cracks or tears in spark plug wires. and cheak for broken spark plugs.

so its running really rich? try pullin off your airfilter and trying again. cant be a fuel issue if its got black smoke coming out.. so pull off yrou air filter housing and try that,

DONT run open header its a 2 stroke engine.. yes it will run but it will run like a bag of shit!! my savage X4.1 it fell off and it woudl almost die as i was tryin to bring it back to me...

sounds like a timming issue... BUT the way yuo said it was idling at 2500RPM maens it was sucking air some where...bad intake gasket? cant really cheak the exhaust for mist coming out since its so cold.. but if there is a white or blue smoke instead of steam or what ever then you have a bad head gasket.. but if theres no sign of lost coolant then thats not the issue...
