it is louder when playing (0db that is). it's why your gain would be set lower on -10db.
the lower db settings are simulating musical averages. 0db is the loudest recording setting. All the way up. However we all listen to music and know that not everything is recorded at that volume. Sometimes its recorded lower, the lower db settings on the CD are guesses to what that average will be.

That is pretty damn cool. I want to get into crawling but I know 0 people around me that want to do it. Street racing and bashing are all the people I know want to do. It's fun and I like it a lot but i think crawling would be cool too.

Yup, after I wrote that I thought that was maybe what you were saying, hence the edit. I have ran on 2s 20C batteries the whole time, of course it's in a short course truck converted to a concrete warrior.

I thought it was the number of cells that increased speed? Like 2s, 3s, 4s, and so on and the C was how quickly it can get to top speed. Either way, these cars are a fucking blast.If you think they are fast now Steve, get your hands on a higher discharge battery like a 65c or even 100c. Shit's nuts.

I just saw this posted on some website...
4) Voice Coil: The voice coil is a coil of wire that is formed around a cylinder, and is connected to the neck of the cone. It’s responsible for converting the current, which is produced by the amplifier. As a result, a mechanical force is presented, and causes the cone to move.
5) Motor Top Plate: This is a steel plate, which helps focus the sound from the magnet through the voice coil.
6) Front Panel Display and Controls: This portion of the subwoofer allows you to control the power. You will need to have an amplifier in order for the controls to work.
7) Magnet: Magnetized material, which controls the magnetic field that communicates the current from the voice coil to the cone.

So are DC amps worth the money?i have amps from a company that people hate. my amps can do .25 no problem, my amps do more than rated. blah fucking blah.

it could be the music too. You are running them at their max RMS rating pretty much, so any badly recorded music could be doing this.
