I enjoyed a lot of it, but IMO JL isn't nearly as high bang for the buck as many other brands. And please, toss the stock tail lights back in.
-
It actually matches my interior pretty damn good and i LOVE the way my rims look......dark color with chrome FTW IMO.
so your answer is i dont plan on changing anything right away.
Why change it at all? Your current black/gray would look fine no matter what color you made the outside, at least I think. They're pretty neutral colors, so I dunno what's up with people thinking they don't go.

I have access to a table saw, jigsaw, band saw, router (no table router though), power drills, and can get a jasper rig, etc...and yeah I can use all that s***, so no worries there
I basically need someone with much more experience and know-how to do a good job designing a box for me

just doo a sonotube/sonosub setup
Aww but what fun is it to hide that sexy kevlar cone?

Like it says in the description, I'm in need of a box design. I was thinking of using this 6" precision port, so that I won't have to worry about the specifics of an L-port, etc. The sub in question is in my sig. It has two spiders, and I was told by Forevrbumpn that the Fs should settle between 32-35Hz after break in. Power will come from a QSC Audio RMX 850 pro amp, so expect RMS to be somewhere around 800W. Because this is NOT going in a vehicle, I do not have any real size limitations, other than that the box needs to fit through a doorway
So, let's recap...this box needs the following:
-SQ design that won't hesitate to at least hurt my ears (not looking for a numbers box by any means)
-I'd prefer if it used aero/precision porting
-It'll be made of 3/4" MDF or 1" if I can find it.
-RMS power is about 800W.
-32-35Hz tuning, probably closer to 32.
-No size constraints
Whoever wants this job, I will PayPal you the reasonable amount you charge, if you choose to do so.

I was able to finagle an LG EnV 2 replacement out of them...hopefully that thing will work for the time being.

Right now I'm on my third Nokia Intrigue for Verizon, and I couldn't hate the thing more. It's slow, freezes, deletes NEW texts when it receives them sometimes, and has shitty battery life. My contract has another year left, so I'm not about to go pay a fortune for another phone before my upgrade rolls around. People looking to get rid of Verizon phones, show me what you got. Looking to spend $100 or less, and full-keyboard phones are preferable but not required.
Thanks guys

Not a fan of the GTS250...Nvidia is guilty of re-badging old cards and marketing them as if they were new. GTS250 is a re-badged 9800GTX+, which is a couple-year-old card.

I see you using that 3M DP420 I finally landed a tube of it, should be here soon for my kevlar beast. (then black silicone for the dustcap, right?)

I wanted the Saints to win. 1st franchise superbowl win is a big deal!
and +1 for no serious injuries

With optical drives, the problem is gonna more likely than not be hardware related. Windows shouldn't need user-installed drivers for it to work. Just check the cables...if they're fine, the drive *may* be shot.

Been playing this nonstop. Not bassy, just real.

You all right though?
And why does it look like the front end burned?

Bet he wasn't laughing about the letter that landed on his desk the next day

I'm looking for a relatively inexpensive pair of powered studio monitors or speakers...stuff by M-Audio, etc. They'll be part of a hybrid home/car audio setup I'm putting together in my room.
Show me what ya got!

It's definitely possible...just not with the things you listed.

Wait so you're a technical engineer? So this topic has NOTHING to do with your professional... why would you say it does? Technical Engineering is wayyy harder than PC assembly, I was modding/assembling PC's like this when I was 15...
Not only that but a mac at that?!?! you should be ashamed of yourself gimme a minute I'll upload some of my mod jobs which is REAL modding not just painting the case lol.
oh and EWWWW on the antec 1200
Computer hardware engineering dude...and I'm still in college so cut me some slack. I don't build these computers for a living if that's what you thought. Macs are legitimate computers and I have no problem modifying them. I just wish I had digital pics of my G3 iMac with cold cathodes and color-changing power LED.
Just calm it down.

Even though a 32-bit OS can only see something like 3.5GB of memory, the other .5GB is still used for background processes. Just FYI
-
well hey, you are the one who told me to post them... lol, jk
To be honest I almost feel it was somewhat of a waste of money... I have nothing that can max this thing out. even crysis full tilt doesn't even make it break a sweat it seems.
Yeah, really the only shortcoming of my rig is hard drive space and the aging 8800GTX. Other than that, it kinda laughs at me...
-
Damn dude you had to upstage me with those specs! Nah it's all good...I want an i7 but i5 is more my budget range. EVGA X58s are nice as hell too...good stuff you have there.

Before going to upgrade the memory, I'd download a little program called CPU-Z from cpuid.com. That'll let you (and us) know exactly what type of memory your computer has, so you know what to upgrade with. Moving from 2GB to 4GB is a big difference, especially if you're running Vista or Windows 7. It won't be difficult at all either.
For the $50 after rebate I'd say that card is fine for running your TV at 720p. DVI and HDMI are pretty much the same as the video signal goes, so that 30ft cable you got will work fine. If you wanted to run audio through your TV you might want to go through HDMI, because that carries both digital video and audio. (I'm not sure on how to make that work though - I would just run video and audio in separate cables to the TV if I were in your situation)
-
Haha go for it...pics would be helpful too. If anything, this will inspire some people to try building a rig of their own.

I had the 3000+ up to 2.55 on air for 24/7 use, it must have been an amazing sample. I booted it at 2.7 and 2.8 but those weren't stable for long.
Current rig is as follows:
CPU: Intel E8500 @ 4.13GHz (stock 3.16GHz)
Motherboard: ASUS P5Q Pro
Memory: 4GB Corsair Dominator @ 1100MHz
GPU: XFX 8800GTX (kickin' it old school I know)
Sound: ASUS Xonar D1
Hard drive 1: 160GB Western Digital
Hard drive 2: OCZ Core V2 30GB SSD (this thing screams)
PSU: Silverstone Strider 700W
Optical: Samsung 22x DVD burner (has lightscribe, barely use that though)
Case: Antec 900 w/all Cooler Master LED fans
Monitor: Acer 22" widescreen (5ms, 1680x1050)
Best computer for around $500-$700

Agreed with everyone on here. Building is the way to go if you've got the time to learn it. Even if you don't...just make time or something. I helped another guy on here build his, and he's been having a great time with the system he made. IF you are going to build, before I put a parts list up, I would just say that buying a nice case and a little bigger PSU than you need will let you upgrade for a looong time.
