Ok I was discussing with a friend what would be best for a trunk car box wise. He says rear facing sealed box. I said forward facing ported box sealed off from trunk ( backseat /subbox/trunk) box sealing the space connecting. Which of those is better and would any other box design beat those?

Couldn't I also do watts/voltage= AMPS? take stock alternator an add draw to it to know which alternator he would need?

My budget for just Subs Box and Amp is 1000-1500. Wiring batts and Alt are on a different budget. I like Sony cause they are cheap and with a good setup people stop dogging them after they hear it . Plus I get Wal-mart Discount so Sonys are like 30-40 bucks each for me . Edit: What is a Funkypup?

I believe changing the tune frequency of a T-line would turn it into a folded horn . I dont know much about a clam shell Setup . Is it possible to build within the constraints of 42W 34H 22D (15 ft^3 ). Can they be ported ? and will it pound? Are there any other Good Multi Woofer setups besides simple ported? Edit: Current design will accomidate 8 10's 6 12's 4 15's (all sealed) 2 15s (Ported) Edit 2: I believe the Sony 15's have issues of dust caps coming unglued

Well the box is built to the resonating frequency of the sub. So I am thinking more subs possibly ported. I will redesign the box to figure out a ported setup also

Well in the sealed (prefabbed pos) box I had when I first started I could hit lows but not powerfully . With my T-Line it unloads my woofers on anything below 35ish HZ

My Current Setup is 2 Sony 10's in a T-line box (450rms) and I get asked all the time by local Enthusiast on what i am running. They say it doesn't sound bad at all for being sonys. I am tired of not being able to hit low lows. Its beyond my tuned freq. Edit: If anyone had box ideas post a pic of the style mentioned for us uninformed folks, Thanks

Would 8 Sony Xplod 10's walled behind B pillar on 2600 watts be good enough for 129.9 DB ? It would be in a Ford Focus Sedan. Yes I know Sonys suck but its how I roll.I would like to one day be able to do a hair trick with Sonys. the Box will have full sides on it for support and sealed from the rest of the car. Please dont post just to say how much Sonys suck .
