  1. Thats low for sure, mine is just a little under that, i went and got a flu shot during my normal checkup and two days later i was very sick, blood sugar was very high, seemed no matter how much insulin i took it would drop below 350. So i went into the er, long story short spend almost a month in ICU, the virus stopped my kidneys a few times, sugars went from the 700s to 18. was pronounced deal twice for a few minutes at a time. scary stuff, this was 3 years ago. ive been doing well since. Theres nothing worse than that low sugar feeling of being so helpless...
  2. you will get used to it more, learn what its going to do depending on your food intake, exercise, and diet. It can be a scary thing, hang in there
  3. oh i can say everyone has a guaranteed low end, your brain with literally shut down around the 30 mark for most people, but if you drop to zero you WILL be dead in a matter of minutes.. Been there.
  4. i looked at the pump, i just dunno if i can do it lol. I am using the insulin pens now, until about a month ago i was still on regular needles and bottles, i started doing my own shots at age 5, scared of needles helped me do it on my own. i like the pens a lot thou, very convenient. newls1- yeah im learning more and more that its becoming a very common thing among americans at least. I'm hoping at some point to get a transplant. But not holding my breathe. Medicine has come a long way thou, when i was 10 years old my doctor told me straight that i shouldnt plan life much past 21 years old, my body was not doing so well at the time and they still knew very little about treating it. now at 22 years old, im not in perfect health, but i do my best to keep my body strong. I was dead two diff times once for 2 min, and the other time for 6 min, had to go to rehab to learn to walk and write again. But im still around and dont seem to have any brain damage that anyone tells me about. Sorry to give y'all a life story there, just feels good to have this topic on the forum. really helped my day
  5. i can agree with you here, Ive had several low spells over the years, even pronounced dead on the scene from a flu shot a few years back. And i can tell you when my blood sugar begins to fall, i tend to be a super happy nice person, like a drunk person you are helping to the bathroom lol. But when it gets too low, i get violent and hard to handle, ive actually punched my brother in the face for trying to help me before, sometimes you black out and cannot control your body, so if you have a friend or relative who is diabetic, just be sensitive to their situation. It may end up saving their life... I like to see this thread, makes me feel good to know im not alone out there...
  6. I am a type 1 diabetic, have been since age 4. your "panic" level will drop lower depending on where your norm is. eighty to 120 is the "perfect" number, but myself i stay in the 110-150 range most of the time, and when i drop below 70 or so i start to get the shakes, sweat, bad attitude and etc... But if i were to get my average down to say 100, it would have to drop to 50 or so before the warning signs take effect, this is simply because your level changed constantly throughout the day, up and down, so you body learns its limits. Even if it is unsafe to be at 70, your body will get used to it if its there enough. does this make sense? I've been through a lot with my diabetes. If you ever have any questions or anything feel free to pm me, id be glad to offer my help
  7. clean pic! I knew the funky pup comment would make its way in here....
  8. its an ls swap. but i was there when it happened, motor has 68K on it, pretty well stock just header and short ram intake. but thats great because i can build it instead of fixing someone elses project. This guy who ive known for years, just found out hes having twins, so a 4dr is great for him. whatcha think?
  9. well i didnt trade, see my accord right now is lowered 3" on 17s, 5% tint, alpine double din, two 12s, amp and two yellow tops. Grant leather steering wheel, 12k hids. But i told the guy in the beginning when we first met up to look at each others cars that i was taking mine back to stock, minus the suspension. And he was fine with that. So i told him that i would take mine back to stock in the morning, and trade after work that next day. he said ok of coarse. Half way threw taking my car apart he starts texting me asking if he can keep the steering wheel, hids, batteries, and some other small stuff. I told him no i wanted to trade a clean stock vehicle with high miles for a beat up stock car with less miles.... Long story short he ended up getting bitchy about all of it so we didnt trade. Im not thinking of trading it for a 95 civic 2dr, b18 swapped car. its super clean also. ill post up pics if i do trade... Theres nothing wrong with my accord, im just bored with it i think
  10. yeah id rather know the body is straight, plus good excuse to paint it how i want. The accord is the f22 =( The integra would be a lot more fun to play with. I have a ton of projects so wont be any different. Thanks guys im going to look at it again..........post up pics tonight if i get it
  11. did car fax, never been reported in a wreck, clean title, core support is not touched just looks like the bumper cover got bumped.
  12. its ok i cant spell tonight lol. i like the teg alot. just trading a almost perfect car for a project type car is the deal. but being 3 years newer and 60k less on it almost make it worth it. Blue book on em is close. Accord - $2200 Integra- $2600
  13. i asked about that, his parents dont want him to do that because of insurance reasons. but i did drive it for an hour the other night, rapped the shit out of it too, seems solid honestly. only flaw is the front end damage. but body work is no big deal..just work Chris- well i dunno if he would help me or not, but he is not a car guy so i dont know what he could do. honda stuff is really popular in my area so parts are no big deal, already have a hood for $50 lol...
  14. well ive known him a few years, he is a college kid, doesnt know how to change his own oil. got the teg from his parents and doesnt like having a 5 speed. new clutch in the teg BTW
  15. lol read the first line again...im trading me daily driver. 94 accord 4door lx. have way too much time in my hatch to trade it for a stock integra
  16. on the integra its a factory option. this car is bone stock to the Acura floor mats lol. Has GSR wheels and power mirrors which is kinda rare. i just cant decide, because there is nothing wrong at all with my accord, and i know the entire history of it. But i do like the integra so...
  17. Alright heres the deal. My daily driver is a 1994 honda accord sedan. It has 207xxx miles on it, auto. LX model, cloth seats, no cruise. power locks and windows. front disc rear drum. I am the 2nd owner of the car, and its pretty clean. the interior is almost perfect. body is good paint it good. I have a buddy wanting to trade me his 1997 Integra sedan. 5speed 150xxx miles, cruise, abs, 4wheel disc, moon roof power everything. interior is also almost perfect, all black. his car has some big dings in the hood and paint chipped off the front bumper from a fender bender. still clear title. His car is bone stock and not been rapped (he is not a car guy at all) mine is lowered on stock wheels and tinted. i am a body guy so body work doesnt scare me much. What im asking is if you were in the same spot would you trade? The Teg is a lot more fun to drive, more rare, and newer with less miles. But does need some work where as mine is pretty damn clean. anyways let me know what you guys think??
  18. peal n seal works wonders if your on a budget. I'd go peal n seal, some spray foam, and be done with it. I had the same issue in my 94 accord, doesn't rattle at all now put some p&S on the trunk lid. spray foam up in the bottom side of the package tray to get rid of the sheet metal noise. and you might try to P&S the front side of the seat rest. (The metal that the rear seat lays against) that really should cover it unless you upgrade the whole system...
  19. this is one of my favorite bands. very happy to see a post on them!
  20. i have an pa bamf2000/1 and I've had no issues with it. Its an OK amp for what i paid for it. But its nothing compared to an aq1200 or something like that. I have nothing to say bad about power acoustik amps except they dont put out rated power. the bamf series seems to be about the best ones they have done so far thou. good luck on your choice!
  21. yeah it looks clean i think im just bored with the primer lol. Im not sure yet, only a day left too.....
  22. gloss black? on the primer? and ive thought about pin stripe, ive not done much of it so im not real confident on doin it....lol
  23. so as of now the vote is graphiti. I can do that time to get the tips back out, unless i can some paint for the ol' air brush lol
  24. well i do all my own body work and will be spraying it as soon as my foot heals, the little extra work to prep later isnt an issue. I just cant decide really....
