So Im not new to audio but new to figuring things out before going to a brick and mortar to get price quotes.
Im currently working on two projects,1 being a complete SQ build in my GT500 Mustang. In this vehicle Im running two JBL Crown 700.1 amps, Two JBL 75.4 amps, and 1 JBL 75.2. Two local shops have told me that simply upgrading my wiring and battery would be sufficient and no extra batteries would be necessary.
2nd project is 05 Ram. I want to install 1 level 4 12 in it and power it with either an SA 1500 or one of DC's new amps. Obviously Id run another amp or two for my mids and highs. Being the Cummins has two batteries would it be safe to simply run better batteries?
Or should I run multiple batteries in both vehicles?
Im willing to spend money on batteries for the vehicles but dont want to run extra's. The Mustang already has alt. issues due to the supercharger, havent seen anything else offered for it. Its also a PITA to change the alt. Im a bit concerned about the voltage these systems will draw. I dont sit iin my vehicles and listen to my systems, only while driving, not sure if that makes a difference.
Sorry if these questions bug some, I just like other folks input that are heavily involved in big systems.
