really? its very true. not every tactic used is going to be useful for every single application. think about airflow, pressurizing the port.....there is no cookie cutter way of making DBs.
i wasnt saying it to be a smart @ss. i know theres no way to tell how many DBs you will gain or loose. because ive asked if i will gain DBs by adding sound deadner but was told i could loose DBs. I was more interested in what people had to say about it thats why i put the popcorn. sorry not trying to thread jack.

i just have read that it always helped airflow thats why i made the post im new to car audio myself, so i just wanted to see what others had to say about it.

Yes. Don't get it on any of your skin! Work slowly starting at the bottom and let it sit for a hour or so and then work you way up to keep it in atleast somewhat of a controllable process.
yes do NOT get it on you or your clothes.
