  1. Its clipping. I am reconing my sub because it was clipping and I didn't catch it in time. Turn down the gain or you'll fry the vc like I did. I smelled it, turned it down and it was done. I had been running it for a few days prior to that, beating the hell out of it. Lower the gain

i turned down the gain just got home we will see how it works for these couple days

  2. Ive HEARD about how everyone says the Xs are overrated and have been smelling, i have no experience with them but I would check your gains.

they are hitting hard as hell for some 10s. my gains are set to half way with no bass boost and the freq. to about 80htz

  3. Like I told ya before, I would try running 1 amp to those 2 subs and see how they do. I think you might be impressed with the performance. ;)

I was just going to email you. hmm alright i think ill try it and see what happens i just thought it would be the same because at 4ohms im only getting about 1200-1300 watts out of each amp witch would be the same as just running 1amp or am i wrong?

  4. so im tired of waiting to save up enough money to buy recones for my Solo X. i have dual 2ohm right now wired to 4ohms running on my kicker ZX2500.1. amp is only 2ohm stable should i not go down to 1ohm? what do you guys think. i have an iraggi 320amp alt 2runs of 1/0ga to the back a optima yellow top up front and 2 stinger spp1500d in the back? ive heard some people say if you have the electrical you can go down to 1ohm but im not sure if i should

  5. nope, these fuckers are loud out here. since im new to the area i entered a lower class because there is no power restrictions. then i got my 151.3 and they kicked me out into another class with unlimited power and unlimited woofers... ya, got beat by 3db.

    DAMNIT!!!

  6. Well it's gonna be different if you use a 2.5 cube box instead of a 3 cube box instead of a wall. And then it'll be different if you face it to the front, side or back.

What I'm getting at is that even if someone knew the resonant frequency of THEIR setup in THEIR Sebring, it might be COMPLETELY different to yours.

And one of the excellent things about resonance is that near enough is not always good enough. You can be 4hz out and be down 6dB. The only way to be sure is sweeping it with a termlab.

    right on thanks
