Have your tried running a Gatorback belt or some other higher end belt? They make a big difference.
What about using Belt Dressing?
Yes i have tried belt dressing but i do not like the noise it makes when belt turns.

What size does iraggi recommend, it is their alt.
im not sure hes not around no more but it is the pully that came with the alt. its about half the size of the stock alt though i know that.

smaller pulley helps keep the rotor at the proper speed to maintain good current output, usually a smaller pulley will produce more current at idle, it basically shifts the current output curve lower in the rpm range, you can overspin the rotor and damage the bearing if the pulley is too small.
its the pully that came with the alt. I know it would help alot more that its small but i cannot find a damn belt to fit it
-
how much of a difference does the smaller pully make compared to the stock pully. i cannot seem to be able to find the right size belt. im thinking of putting the stock pully back on my 320amp iraggi alt. when i start up the car its makes a noise also when system is up loud it slips sometime. my car is a 2004 chrysler sebring sedan.
thanks fellas

is this event going to be a car show only or is the a sound comp?

Well like i said, your bent over to whatever they want to charge. Square subs FTL.
Besides, you already know what I said to do about your system
alright Bill i might give it a shot tonight then
-
But the Solo X's have drop in recones so its alot easier to recone than a sub that you have to align the coil in the gap, and using glue/epoxy and all that other good stuff. So that price isnt bad.
This is true easy recone
-
Is that price for the sub to be reconed or just the kit for you to do it your self?
Either way, your bent over a barrel cause either you pay or buy a new sub. Some companies have better pricing then others. but with square subs, your pretty much fucked
Thats for the kit for me to do it. they quoted me @ $120 before. he told me come back at the end of the month for a better price
oh and he gave me free wire and said try to wire it down to 1ohm haha dick
-
??? okay then? Most recones for big subs are about that price.
the same shop quoted me cheaper before. and my subs are 10"
-
Damnit i just went to buy recone kits for my Solo X and they wanted $165 a piece. so i turned and walked out

Thats fu@ked up. DAMN! mayb a branch

I am running cylinders on my car and they work fine the only time its rough is when they are fully aired up or fully out of air other than that they work great. you are just going to want to slow down the drop cuz with the extra 5-600 pounds in the trunk you will mess them up i learned the hard way =)

heres a link to my build log let me know what u think

Wanna c what that lil thing could do with a nice box.
-
I did one for a stang for a customer. He had trimmed out the frame to the seat opening and we slid in the box that way. I forget the exact measurements. It was a tight fit but it worked and allowed way more airspace then doing one through the trunk opening.
i like that cut out bill.
-
well, my amps were doin a lil over 2.5k each at 2 ohm, and i was running them at 1 ohm. id say a bit over 5k.
damn so these damn things can handle the 5k? what were u hitting on 1 12"
