I don't understand what you need !!!
If you have a weak electrical system in your car for 3000 watts rms, just turn the gain down on the amp.
A btl is rated for 2000 watts rms, so you don't NEED 3000 watts ! Unless all you need is high db numbers, but for listening pleasure 2000 watts should be fine !
Keep what you have and be careful with the gain.
Dropping to 13v is not a problem for the car and the amp. lol
(Maybe you need a vcm, or an mla module)
Keep working on the new car, save money to eventually buy a good HO alt for this new car.
Don't waste money on cheaper/smaller sub(s). It is not a smart move at all !!!

Nice choice of equipments !
Congrats

Ported, Audi A3, 19.5 cubes, 140 amp alt. Amp I don't know that's actually my latest thread in the DC audio section.
I don't plan on upgrading the alt(voiding the warranty=lame) so batteries it is.
Um any other info needed?
Edit: Might be a GTI instead of an A3 which would be 15.1 cubes instead. Both are plenty.
You're taking the back seats off ?
These car have small trunks, they can only fit 2 12"s ported, and this would be a very tight fit!!!
But they do get loud (vw gti's) FTW !

Do you have any for toyota applications??

I like the Edge. I saw plenty of them in St Maarten for holidays. They look nice.
I said to myself that I got to have a car like that in the future. But gas mileage must be very low with these american cars !!!
the flex? It's not a car, it's a bus !!!

lol thanks guys, I think I should just stick to my 1000w rms amp. Maybe If I come across a 1200w at some stage.
I run 2 sundown amps (1500 w for the bass and 320 for front speakers) on stock electrical : stock alt and stock batt. With no problem at all.
But I don't know anything about my alt.
I have upgraded (1/0 and 2/0) ground wire for my batt and for "engine to chassis".
you can try to run a 1500 watts amp.
Music is dynamic, you won't use 1500 watts every time.
get a voltmeter and be careful.
A friend of mine is running 4000 watts for the bass and 600 watts for his speakers on a 120 amp alt and a 5 years old Optima blue (big3 done) without problem. but, at iddle he can't play for too long, he has serious voltage drops. but when driving he stays at 14.4 v easily. with the engine off, he doesn't play more than 2 minutes!!!
Daily driving is different from demoing at iddle or with the engine off !!!

Congratulations Jacob
I saw pics of the 200.4, what a beast !! It's really a huge amp!!! You need at least one saz 3500 to match it !!!

In my country you can't tint your windshield. Not legit.
even the windshield banner must be very small (10cm, 4 inches).
In the other Caribbean island (english speaking islands) they tint the windshield sooo dark, sometimes only the upper half . It looks gangsta !
In the night they must drive with the seats dowwwwnnnnnnnnn to see something !
Your cars are sick,SM.
I'll drive a Lexus one day , after my Toyota. I like these cars, not too flashy as a Benz & Bimmaz, but really cool cars.

This garage is like a basshead paradise !
I totally agree !

try to fit a component set (rather than 6x9's) : 5" 1/4 or 6" 1/2. You will need an adapter ring, or something like that.
A component set will sound way better than a coaxial set.
Don't be cheap on the front speakers. Forget about the rear speakers, put all the money you can on front doors : deadening material (secondskinaudio.com), speakers, and amp later when you're ready.

small pics !
And I'm too lazy like Ch0sen to open all the pics !!!

I have read lots of good reviews about the Hertz, but it's not easy to buy (expensive) speakers without listening.
If you can find these 2 sets at a local shop, they must let you listen to them. Even in their own cars.
Too much money for a blind purchase.
But both should be good IMO.
If you have the cash for the Zapco or Audison, go for them, but you can be very plreased with any good quality amp.
Sundown Audio (I run 2 of them, and I like them a lot, good and complete crossovers, lot of power..), MTX, Kicker, Rocford,...and many more.
The used Diamond can be a good deal too.
For the sub, you really can't fit a 10" sub in there ? It would be better : the bigger, the better !!!
The sa 8 from Sundown are badass !!! Try 2 of them ported, or just one if you don't have the room.
Good luck.

When I saw Mooresville, I understood he was close to you.
Nice to live near your favorite caraudio brand HQ !
I love the batts rack And the amp rack !
48 10"s : that's insane !
Great build !
Great, really great products !!!!!!!!!!!

1500 watts on a ssd ? Be very careful with the gain !
You'd better save some more money to get a Fi BL, or something else.
You can try to buy a used sub, like a Sundown Z v1 (they were at $ 200 new & shipped recently).
-
nice pickup !
I'm sure you will be good to go with your stock alt and the big 3. Just buy a voltmeter to check if you need electrical upgrades.
But it should be enough !
2L7 on a Kicker 1500 amp : that will pound ! That's good stuff§
Take a look at the Sundown audio SA subs : they 're really good ! With a Sundown sax 1200 amplifier, you should rock even more !!!
-
How much space are you willing to use for your box ? If you have the money, box volume is the next step. It will help you choose the subs, and then the amps and the electrical upgrades.
Personnally, I'd put 2 powerful 18" (Fi Btl, Sundown nightshades, DC level ?, or even SSA Xcons)on a Sundown, or a Stetsom amp(that's bang for your bucks!!!).
3000-4000 watts will be enough for a "daily" system !
-
Cool!
give us more pics, please !!!
-
Do they are 1 ohm stable when strapped ? They may accept only 2 ohms. So, what kind of subs do you have ?
-
The subsonic (or infrasonic) filter should be set at a frequency under the tuning of your enclosure, like 4 hz below for example.
If you don't know the ttuning frequency of your box, try to set the ssf around 30 hz, and the LPF at around 80-100 Hz.
-
The RF are serious amps !
Take a look at Sundown if you want big power, or Stetsom. Can't be disappointed with them.
-
Good news !
Someone in Martinique is waiting for his 4th saz 1000 to finish his install !!!
He should be happy to hear this news ! I call him NOW !
-
You must have made a mistake by getting a Nightshade. It's a pure spl beast sub. Not what you seem to want.
Maybe you should look for a Z v1 ?
-
sae 1200 will put out more power than a saz1500 from what db-r has told me
Hum, hum !?
I don't think so !
The saz 1500 is a real beast.
The sae is the entry line, they can't be strapped.
And the saz is the competition line, the amps are strappable.

Audiopipe 3000 ? Lot of people seem to like it. (for its low price?)

The Fi Q should not be in that list, it's a SQ sub (that can get loud), but you seem to look for spl.
Take a look at the Z series from Sundown, or at the DC audio subs : people love them on this forum !
