Ya? That blows! Nothing wrong with the 4ohm version, I just need the 2ohm version because i have a pair already and was thinking about getting another pair and running 4 of them! I think that would be a wicked set up. I think it is really cool that you and your son are both into car audio. Thats the kind of dad i would like to be. Did you teach him everything, or did he teach you?

Does anyone have a pair or one of these subs listed above? I am wanting to buy a pair or one of these subs. I want a pair really bad! Like i said befor in the title...they need to be JL 12" w3d2...not v2..I do not want d4's Need to be 2 ohms.. If anyone has a pair please let me know. Thanks guys. =)

I've heard good reveiws on there old school amplifiers, I have no clue if they are true or not

You have voltage drop most likley because you are running stock grounds in your engine bay. They are not big enough for the amount of juice you are trying to pump through them... so replace the engine block ground, the frame ground, and also the + alt wire. Which is called the big three.

LOl wow omg 2 15's that cost a hell of alot more than mine and hit less than mine, not my fault. in my opinion those two subs should be hitting waaaaayyyy more! What is the linear excursion of those 15s?

I had 2 Jl audio w3's 2ohm versions. Not the 4ohms. In a sealed box.

That is a ridiculous number. It will surpass that easly. I know that for sure. My 12s hit lower 140s

Hey guys I'm getting a new sub soon. I'm getting a JL 18w3 D2 which is the dual 2ohm version. They also make a 4ohm version. This subs going on a Hifonics TITAN amp, which is rated for 500watts. I dont plan on putting in a new alt or anything. I will probally will do the big3, to ensure there will be no voltage drop. Just wondering what you guys think? Wondering if anyone has a set up with this such sub, and wondering what kind of numbers will be possible with this setup. This is going in a Eclipse hatchback also. Like i said just give me feedback and what ever else.

Hey, I am wondering how you calculate and tune for differnt hertz, when building a box. I know hertz is cycles per second, but what is the difference in higher hertz and lower hertz. i see alot of people tune there boxes to like middle 30s. I am just wanting a basic understanding of what different hertz do and how you create different hertz when building a box...thanks alot.
