Thanks for the replies. I did ask for the next size down. That's how I know it's .53" shorter. I do get what you're saying though.

I have a Mechman 270a alternator for my car. I have recently been experiencing some belt slippage (black dust on alt.) so I'm opting to change my belt. My current belt was a stock belt. I went and bought a Gates belt that was a half inch short to compensate for the smaller diameter pulley. When I went to install the belt I notice this way too easy to put on. I can at least get two fingers under the new belt above the alternator pulley. The new belt is .53" shorter than if I was to get a factory spec Gates belt. I already have the AVBM. With the lights on, amps on, and AC on and charging at 14.9 hot under a load with the car in drive my reading 12.8. What are my options?

I have a question. I have a 96 crown vic and I'm currently running the 270a 6G alternator. Alternator is in stock location with stock belt. I do know that there's not a lot belt wrap around the alternator pulley itself. My voltage does down to 11.95. 4k on bass 1.7k on mids. 2 runs 0ga power, both kinetiks 2400's individual frame grounds. Alternators has frame ground and front battery. So I'm wondering would a adjustable voltage module do any justice. Or because I don't have much belt wrap its still gone be a issue. Or possibly could this idler help thanks.

IMO Auto Page alarms might have a one mile range but come on lets face it, if someone breaks in your car a mile away how fast can you get to your car. You dont need a long range alarm just one with a good frequency. Now personally I have Scytek Vision Guard 8000 alarm best alarm you can buy. Why I say that bc it comes with a camera that takes pictures of the interior of your ride when ever someone bumps it or when it goes off. Remote start, pin switch for the trunk in case you have a audio setup. Comes with a remote that transfers pictures to it so you can retreive them up to 10 pics of storage. Check it out.
