    yes they don't. smaller box will typically hand more power is what i'm tryin to say. don't get me wrong, not bashin that the 1200 is a better fit. It is a small power house of its own, but i would much rather get the 1500. just my $0.02

    in my opinion and experience in the past with one 15, they better off tuning around 35. tried 30 on 1400watt and got stinky. 35hz tuning will capture the lows as well. But box being tuned that low will make the sub flap.... just my experience.

    The 1200 will do too.... i was just thinking 4x400wtt = 1600wtt rms total, box is 2.4/4 = 0.6 cub per sub. will handle the 1500 with more power power to play with.

    ^^That! My assumption is that unless you are way under powering the sub and no desire for optimal output, smaller port area per cub is somewhat doable. the disadvantage, sound crappy and pointless. However, if you put more powa, poof! (that's the choking)

    You sure? 100.2 spec below: 100 watts x2 @ 4 ohms stereo 200 watts x2 @ 2 ohms stereo 400 watts x1 @ 4 ohms bridged Wiring each side of the speaker in parallel [(FL/RL = 2ohm) and (FR/RR = 2ohm)] to one channel each will yield 200w each. You can do it, but up to you.

    I agree that both are quality amp. But I wouldn't flip the coin. I would consider matching amp (assuming you'll get a sub amp) or if tight on budget, I would go with whichever cost less. Honestly, Sundown have my vote because you are dealing with the company first hand and not distributors.

    that's a good plan, but however, some of us are willing to sacrify the spare and tools for something a little bit more... well, alot more actually. Tough decision here!

    I personally have never experience it, but awhile back a friend of mine flat his tire on the freeway. With a big and heavy speaker box, no spare tire, no roadside assistance, and 20 miles away, I drove him a spare tire. This is through traffic hour!!! It was a pain in the behind, but we were able to get home safely. What is your experience?
