I just watched Steve's video that posted on facebook last night. They put 4 T4000 in the Honda. I need some of you experts to tell me how the hell his subs handle that kind of power. I'm not doubting it at all, I just wanna know so I can do it. If I heard the video right, he said one amp per voice coil. so 4000+ watts per coil, 8000+ watts per sub? Did I understand that right? RMS power I assume? Now I'm not a complete idiot, I understand that's for short durations but what can those subs really take for constant daily driving and how do you power them that high without a melt down? I'm thinking along the lines... no bass boost, clean power, no clipping, anything else? I heard him say in a video a while back, you gotta know how to run em like that... well I wanna know!
Also I've only ever run sealed boxes, wanting to go ported and try it out for a while. I have a nissan maxima and the rear seats don't fold down, ported boxes still sound good stuffed in a trunk or should I stick with sealed? Thanks fellas.
