So 2 guys are down in a ditch working on laying some pipe for the State and one guy goes
Guy 1:why is the boss just sitting under that tree and not helping us
Guy 2 says: I dont know why dont u go asking him
Guy 1: alright i will
so the first guy gets up out of the ditch and walks up to his boss and ask him
Guy 1:hey boss why dont u come and help us dig this hole
Boss replies:its called intelligence
Guy 1: what do u mean boss
Boss: come over here to the tree for a second
so they walk over and the boss places his hand on the trunk of the tree
Boss:now i want u to make a fist and try and punch my hand as hard as u can
guy 1: alright boss
so the guy pulls back and take a huge swing and right when hes about to hit the bosses hang the boss pulls it away and the guy hits the trunk of the tree so the boss asks him
boss:do u understand now
guy 1:yeah boss i got it
now the guy goes back in the ditch and starts talking to his friends and is teaching him about intelligence and the guy says
guy 1:now im going to place my hand over my face and i want you to take your shovel and try to hit my hand as hard as you can

dude thats a hot orange but no ugly car
-
if u check it on u amp its going to go like crazy on ur meter anyways take them out and then test them

You have 3 choices bro.
1. Build it your way with noones help and see how it turns out.
2. Have someone else build it for you knowing that it will sound good.
3. Ditch the wall idea.
I would go with choice 3, just sayin.
well now thinking about it i can build a half wall with 2 15s or 3 12s DCs lvl 3 or 4
-
The depth would be the same so if it require 11" in depth for X tuning frequency it would be the same for both ports. You take the cubes of the box and multiply by 12-16 depending on your application ie power, spl, daily, ect. If you have two ports then take the total port size and divide it into 2. example if your box required a total of 200 sq in then make each port 100 sq in. cool?
awhh ya i got u know man that makes sences but it sounds like your tell me to build a wall with a divider in the middle to separate the subs and that sounds like a headache coming my way and ill try to post pics when i get back form the beach

go ahead and send the damn thing im just trying to get some help everyone at some point need help doing stuff even steve he doesnt know everything and neither do u guys so y dont u stop and think before yall open your damn mouths

-
USE a port calculator?
well like i told the rest im thinking a double port in the top corners so how would i do that
-
Im trying to help but nothing you say matches to the next thing you say which is confusing.
well this car is a piece of shit so i might need to do some more thinking
-
Couple questions here...
That 52 wide is that at the bottom? If so what it the width at the top? How high up before it start to narrow?
That 40 height is that from the floor behind the front seat to the roof or the floor under the back seat to the roof..
Just some basic thing you need to take a close look at. A back seat of a car is not an ideal square by no means.
yes 52 inchs at the bottom width is it doesnt narrow that much but i measured from under the back seat to the roof cause i have 6 inches lift from the floor to under the seat and i know i was hoping someone would make one on the computer cause i want a custom port
-
Well If you can afford it just get another amp and two more 12s. oR sell all adn get the 2 18"s I mean if you can afford 3 15"s I'm prettysure that will cover the cost of 2 18"s, with a little leftover.
ya i never thought about that but ya 2 18s would blow everyone away in WV cause im one of 19 bass heading the whole state thanks CheezyMane13 your the only one that wants to help
-
What subs are you gonna use for sure? THe LvL3s or 4s adn what sze I knwo you were saying 15" or 18"? What is the frequency that you would like it to be tuned too.
well idk but i think i want it tuned low like 35 to 32 hertz cause im building this for a db race this christmas but i dont think ill be done with it but ya i want 18s but i dont think i can afford it at all so im thinking 15s but idk how many i have 2 12s right now that ive won 7 competitions with so far hit 145.3 db legal last week i just want more
-
Step one: give us measurements. Can't help if we don't know what were working with.
alright it is 40inches height by 25inches deep by 52inches wide
-
Go with 2 ports, 2 subs on bottom 1 on top in the middle. ports on top on the sides of the top sub.
alright man thanks and im looking at some DC lvl 3 or 4s - 15s but i build boxes i have other people to tune the ports theres where my other problem lays
-
well im still trying to get a grasp i can build it but i cant do numbers im wonder how much air space the subs have cause i might jump up to 2 18s
-
Your obviously not ready for a wall... not to discourage you, just stating.
alright thats y ive been installing audio for over 3 years and ive built walls i just want someone elses opinion dont ahve anything ncie to say stay the heck of this topic
-
i'd either do the port on top or the port in the top corners(dual Port) Im thinking the easiest for you will be a single port along the top
problem is i cant fit 3 15s side by side on the bottom its not wide enough
-
im thinking about putting 3 15s in the back of my 92 oldsmobile cutlass supreme 2 on the bottom and one in the top with a port in between any idea or any that can help em id appreciate that help
-
hey bro sick ass rims whats going on with the trunk now i would finish the honda before u start somethin else
-
I'm not sure if I'm going to do air or not still to be honest, because of the cost and me not knowing if I would have enough room for the tank and box in my trunb. What a lot of guys do is delete the rear spring and put coilover sleeves on the stock struts. You could probably find something that would work up front too if you wanted to lower both the front and rear. This would be a lot cheaper and easier than going on air.
hey thanks man that does sounds ALOT easier that way and might save my wallet from exploding
-
Ok, the '88-96 Cutty Supremes (and other W-bodies) had a rear monoleaf spring you will need to delete. Then the back struts should be fairly straightforward I think. The fronts...IDK. I have the same chassis and am looking into air as well. I think you should be able to find shockwaves for the front fairly easily IIRC.
well i know i was thinking hydrolics but i dont want to deal with those fluids or anyhting but when u get your stuff let me know what u get cause i only have 4 months to save up and get it installed
-
Gotta custom fab it.
Is it a Cutlass Supreme?
yep i already have a system in it but ill have to upgrade it soon
-
i know im going to have to do ALOT of mods to my cutty to get air ride in it but i need help they dont make any air ride specific for a olds cutlass. can anyone help me out please i need this for a show by december
-
