  1. I don't see why not. D4 in parallel would be 2 ohms, and you say your amp is 2-ohm stable, so I see no issue. Make sure you set your gains right, as Kicker says 500 watts rms for the CVR and your amp's putting out 750 at 2 ohms (rms I'm assuming)

    cvr is rated at 400rms n u r correct on the amp

  2. So Im still breaking in my Cvr due to warranty repair and I have it in a ported box. Problem is its a D4 and im running it at 8 ohms, which my amp puts out 375@4ohm n 750@2ohm so i dont think im running much power 2 it. I listened to my bro's D2 cvr wired @4 ohms and it got really loud for jus one sub. Im really wanting to know if it would be safe (or smart) to jus wire my sub for 2 ohms n tune my amp to the rite rms, idk if this works or not.

  3. I have a 2001 Chevy Silverado Regular cab, I just instlaled a bench seat due to a baby on the way, so my center console plans went out the window.

    So i still wanted to add some tight clean bass to my truck, I was looking into running something like 4 12" shallow mount pioneer subs or 4 8" subs but dont know any brand thats makes great 8's(need help there) im think dual 4ohm so i can drop them down to 1ohm

    What doyou guys think i should get, im kinda on a budget looking to spend less than 150 a sub.

    I have a couple of amps that i can run.1 10001 RF and a 15001 RF

    also looking to get some good but cost worthy 6.5 components i need 2 seats and multi 4channel amp help me choose some stuff guys.

    APPERCIATE IT

    Id seriously get four SA 8's by sundown, they beat hard and you dont have to sacrifice space.

  4. well i heard my homies 3 kenwood 12's 2 are the 3011's and one is 3012 and they are in a ported box i think the box is 5 and a half cubic feet and the subs are wired to 1ohm on a 1800watt kenwood at 1ohm and the hit hard and really deep.

    thats what i want is hard hitting deep bass but not for alotta money i will spend up to 500$ on both the amp and subs. but id rather stay cheaper becuz im in highschool with not alotta money.

    Based on your budget id get two Kicker cvr 10s and a ZX mono amp they are within your reach and they will give you the sound your looking for.

  5. do a good ten behind the passenger seat like this then you still have your leg room

    name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="
    type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>">
    name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="
    type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350">

    That shit pounds man, i seen some of your vids on youtube and its a nice setup. Whats the box tuned to?

  6. So, my father found a cheap little Hombre and said he'd buy it for me but didn't know if I'd want it because he knows I'm a basshead.

    There is little to no room behind the two bucket seats, but the console is attached to the driver's seat. They both move forward, so I'll sacrifice some leg room to make them come out about 6 inches.

    What kind of sub should I buy? I was looking at a shallow P3 and hoping a single sub would rock my shit.

    Any ideas for box dimensions also? I was going to reference kicker's CVT box and make it wider for more air space, and add an aeroport.

    What do you guys think?

    Id do an Audioque SD12 or 10, they're good bang for your buck. And that sub would do good in a truck box with an areo port.

  7. Ya i've been researching, i just dont know what speakers and subs are the best for what your paying, and how would you wire 4 speakers and 2 tweeters all into the same amp, also how do you wire 2 subwoofers into a mono amp?

    you would wire them parallel to the amp but you have to know your amp and subs impedence and if you have DVC subs that will have and effect on the impedence.

  8. If it is as small as 1 farad, you're way better off with getting another battery. Some (most--98%) here will tell you to ditch capacitors all-together. Hell I wouldn't even think about running caps unless you had 300+ farads at your disposal

    EDIT: When I read "competition purposes" It kind of threw me off....... If you plan on strictly a daily system, capacitors are junk IMO

    Yea I figured they were no use being that i c nobody on this forum with a high end system running caps.

  9. I don't know if this is true or not but I herd that capacators are not good for competition purposes b/c there only good for one note and then ther drained,so it kinda robs you. I had a 1 farad cheapy from walley on a p550.2 fosgate, took it off and it seemed a hair louder. What do you guys think about caps?
