I'm doing my build right now. running both amps at .5 1 amp to each sub in a single chamber box. Should I strap them together? If so how do I do it?
I believe its called a daisy chain? idk but shouldnt be too hard, but i only have one saz3000 so not really sure how to do it.

I have a 97 civic that is obd2 wiring. well anyways it came stock with a d16y8. I bought a complete b16 swap which of course i dont expect everything to be there. but the guy threw in two obd1 vtec ecus and said they would plug right in. and i knew it couldnt be that easy. sure enough they didnt. so i would either need a obd2 to obd1 conversion harness or just get the obd2 ecu correct? but even after that how would i get the vtec part of it to work?

We can build the motors up to whatever size and coil configuration that you want.
well what im saying is can i order whatever motors i need and build a custom SA-12? ex. the sa 12" basket, whatever motor, and an spl sa recone?
-
The Z v.3 will be out newest 1500-watt woofer -- about 90 days out.
In the mean-time we do have some v.2 motors still stocked that are not 100% cosmetically perfect -- these are a solid 1500-watt driver much more suited to your power.
so what can i do with a v.2 motor? put it with the sa basket?
-
well i need something that can take it here.. what is the v.3?

I have just started running the sundown sa-12s a daily on a 3000d and boy do they get down! but when i go for more than a minute or so they will start to heat up and il start smelling the coils.. not to mention today my friend and i heard the coil hit the magnet a few times. And ik im not even seeing 3k. Would spl coils help with the demos? or should i just upgrade to a z series woofer or nightshades?
-
i reconed mine with copper and they are perfect for daily i had 2 12s that took over 3k all day. And you can still compete it just depends how serious you are.
-
btw, 3000wrms for 2 SA isn't bit too much?
um no? There is a guy on here who does his daily on a 3500. even if 3000rms was too much daily i can run 4 ohms and 1 ohm at comps.

Thanks for the comments guys.. This one i took today has a little bit of woofer porn

Hey everybody this is my first sealed off system. Still have more work to do!
Want to say thanks to Sodfamily for building the box.
-
just looking for a sundown or crescendo mainly.
-
I like this man. I have the same setup going in my car except mine is sealed off and still waiting on an amp.
-
Call crescendo and get the bc3500
thats what im going to do if nobody has anything for a decent price.
-
Hey i wtb an amp for my two sa's withing the next two weeks. My budget is 400 to 600. preferably looking for an saz3000 or a crescendo. thanks.
-
thats good but what about how they are wired inside the box?
[/quote
parallel.. I think i fixed it! the pos and neg terminals on one of the coils were switched. (on sub not moving very much) so the coils must of been going against each other
-
If one woofer is stiffer than the other it may be newer, or a suspension part may have separated from something on the looser one.
they all have seen the same power. And the guy i got them from always used an o-scope. there were six total
-
here is how they were wired to the amp..
-
the sub that was moving more, is it closer to the port?
yes

I have 2 D4 sundown SA-12s sealed of from the trunk firing inside the cab.they are wired 2 ohms a piece on the inside. then you can series for 4 or 1 on the outside of the box. Anyways I have not ordered my amp yet so yesterday we tried it on a kicker 1500.1 @ 4ohms and it was not very loud. The sq was extremly good! But something wasnt right. We looked back and one woofer was moving alot more than the other. Everything reads out good on the voltmeter too. when i push on them one is stiffer than the other. should i just switch them around? and what could be the problem to it not being very loud? Do the SA's really need a stupid amount of power to be loud? any opinions on this will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

ya the speakers cut in and out and then just stop completely. headunit is still on.. did some testing and when i roll my two back windows up it stops.. when theyre down it starts cutting out again. wtf? it wont do it at all if im going below 40 though.
-
love how u guys soon decided i disregarded your opinions.. I have been listening and looking into what was said. why do you think i said the pins were NOT coming loose.. must mean i obviously tried it! anyways im going to check the ground and power wires tomorrow.

Ya but the illuminated numbers tops it off. This is going to be a really good product. I wonder how the price will compare to the typical stinger vm?
