  1. Have you checked your wiring on the head unit. Maybe your ground is coming loose.

no i never ground my head units. I just hook it up to the neg. wire that is in the harness.

maybe one of the pins in the harness is coming loose

i dont think so. because it still gets power.. the sound just cuts in and out so that would mean all my speaker wires/pins would have to be coming loose.

    No it doesn't.

It is possible that only 1 pin comes loose.

pins are not coming loose. all those wires are snug they just dont come in and out randomly it has to be some kind of interference.

  3. for the power you're running i wouldnt waste the money on a fancy front batt. DO NOT waste money on an optima yellow top. i hate walmart batts too, the plates r too thin and they're just crappy batts.. go with die hard, duralast, or yellowtop if you have the money.. if i were you id get the duralast gold! they are comparable to the optima yellow top and even have higher amps.. the yellow top you can just mound upside down because its a gel cell.. i got the duralast gold and was happy.. hardy any dimming and my voltage stayed up. they also have a kick ass warranty. good luck!

Contradicting much? Get a Diehard Platnium if you want to save money, if not do it right the first time and get an XS Power battery.

k smartass let me rephrase that, "or yellowtop if you have the money to waste"

  5. Also, if it's only in one corner, drill a hole in the floor so it can drain. I had to do this on my cutlass, and now in customer cars, if the trunk is flooding, I just leave the drain plugs out. Never had one problem with water coming in through the plugs/holes

its a trunk car. and ther is some kind of vent flap on the side of the trunk that leads to the outside of car.

  6. aight i have a 1990 integra and i have had this ongoing problem with water in my trunk, and it ruins all my boxes :( the thing is the water only comes from the ground up and no signs of water on top of the box, just the bottom.. and big rains i will tend to see water accumulate in the left side of trunk but not like deep water but enough to get to the bottom of box. So where is this coming from and what are ways i can fix this?

  7. First the trunk... go to a local audioshop, or second skin, and get damplifier, put 2 layers all over it, like cover the trunk with damplifier once, then again, that should stop the rattle, will still flex, but wont be like metal on metal rattle sound, cuz its matted. and i have a gmc 1500 sierra (ect cab truck) so im not sure what this baffle is, but if its the spot by your back window behind rear seat headrests, theres got to be a way to brace it good, but for the trunk yeah get some damplifier, will stop rattle, and you can go down to 1 ohm, my truck has 2 aq hdc3 12's.. 4-5cuft. after disp box, aq2200d amp, and its all down to 1 ohm, with a 100 amp alt. (bare in mind i just got this setup, and saving as we speak for a dc alt 200, maybe 300+)it works fine, i got big 3 done too, and 2 yellowtop batteries, so its not that bad for a temp. alt. if you wana bang a 45' damp that trunk, and go down to 1 ohm

alright thanks man this helps alot! :) yea the thing behing my seats by the window is the baffle, or its what i call it bc speakers are mounted there.. it flexes like no other.. and how much would all this sound deadner cost?

  8. Aight i have a 15" fi Bl and a 1500.1bd cp currently wired @ 4 ohms cuz my alt. sucks but i do have the big three done.. So right now the sub is in a box with 4cu ft net. and tuned to 34hz, which i did for daily. it beats the lows but ther is an extreme amount of trunk rattle when the lows hit so what can i do to stop that? the box is sub up and port back and yes it has to be sub up. also i have fold down seats in my 1990 integra (4dr). The car is old and overall there is alot of rattle in the back, like the baffle that my rear speakers sit on moves alot and now my rockford 6.5 spker grills are cracked because of it. anyways back to the subject of getting loud.. i was hitting a 142.7 with a 15in cvx. im wanting to do a 45. so what are some things i should do?

  9. Power bastards just sells a "universal" CS130D (small case GM) alternator for every application. They come no where near bolting on to your vehicle without making your own brackets, spacers, and adapter harnesses. (it amazes me they are still in business) Not to mention the fact, that a 220 amp CS130D is going have really crappy output at idle, if it even makes 220 amps peak. (and I bet it doesn't)

We CNC machine all of our units specifically for each application, and include any adapter harness or brackets if necessary. Upgrading to a physically larger alternator gets you more surface area for heat dissipation, and much better low RPM output.

Okay? Well do you make one for my car?

  10. https://www.dcpowerinc.com/alternators/honda/cars/civic/90-95-13509-180-hp.html

I know it's our civic alternator on the site but we offer the same alternator for it and it has awesome idle performance. I think you just asked on our support system and I answered you. By the way we don't rebuild any alternators. All 100% new USA made and were using the latest patented technology that just doesn't break. :) Let me know!

hm i think i found my solution lol.. might be a couple weeks tho.. oh and is shipping free or what?
