  1. the T1652-S looks sweet... the price turns me off though lol
  2. They require 45W RMS @ 4ohm. My amp is giving them 60W RMS @ 4 ohm...
  3. I currently have 4 Kicker DS6x8.2 components in my truck. Two in the front door and 2 in the rear pillars. They're pretty decent, but I want something more loud to hear clarity in the mids when I turn up my volume. It distorts on the higher end which doesn't impress me too well... I was thinking about getting some speaker adapters and throw in some 6.5's... But is it worth it? Let's hear some opinions!
  4. I don't mind about price or budget. Just which is stronger, louder, and packs more low bass with high SPL. I wanna be heard!
  5. I have a 1995 Nissan Pathfinder currently has 2 Kicker L7's wired down to 2 ohm's... I'm thinking of going with 15's and building a good box for them. I'm trying to get the best 15's possible.
  6. posts like these are fucking annoying A woofer than one person loves the sound of; another person may absolutely hate with a burning passion. Give us some more info- like box size, port specs, type of car, and goals... for starters well sorry for your annoyance, you didn't have to read it. But like I said they're subs that I like and can't make my mind up about... IDK which to get. It's gonna be two of 'em in a SUV and the goal, is to be LOUD as possible lol
  7. 1) Orion® HCCA154 2) Kicker L7 3) Ascendant Audio Mayhem 4) FI BTL or even any others, but these are on my mind... Which is boss?
  8. According to those comments on that page, I don't think we can get it over here...
  9. It's very common for tweeter to fry. A lot of companies love to lie on the wattage of them. I bought about 8 1" tweeters to parallel on my Bose at home and they claimed to be 300 a piece. I was like yeah right. I still paralleled them. I barely turned up my amp and it was tweeting and all of a sudden it shut up. You know what happened there? It burned! Some tweeters come with a protector that shuts off when it's overloading. Do some research and get those.
  10. *bump* So I went back couple days ago and I actually had to turn down the level back to -18. I think temperature has something to do with an amplifiers performance. It sound low to me when outside was freezing cold. But when outside was like 70 degrees it sounds perfect!
  11. Actually I didn't listen to it in 2 weeks. I went back yesterday to clean some snow and I turned it up and it still sounds low.
  12. I got HIDs on so it doesn't really dim. I never noticed any flickers except I have a shortage on the passenger side do to a faulty connection. (I think I need to clean the connector pins) I never really blasted the music with all the lights on. I'll do it when I go back one day and turn on the interior lights and see what it does. It probably could be because I blast music everyday in my ears with my in-ear headphones. (Sennheiser CX400II) but still that drop in sound I can still hear when I'm driving. It's not a heavy drop, but it's a drop my ears notice and wonder about.
  13. 1995 Nissan Pathfinder SE-V6. Stock alternator and everything. We upgraded the battery though to a bigger size.
  14. I did a RCA check on the amp and both lines were getting signal. You think it could probably be behind the deck? I don't know how to pull a deck out to check it.
  15. I gotta do another pounding check when the weather gets better. The truck is parked up outside in the snow for the longest. I didn't wire up the box. We bought it wired down to 2 ohms from Kicker.
  16. Before when I had the SW Level on the Pioneer deck set to -18 at 125hz it would kick. Then I noticed I had to turn it up to -12 and it would kick louder but then it sounds like it goes back to -18. It feels like as if one of the 12s stopped working, but when I put my ear next to both I can hear them working.
  17. I got a stinger 1 farad cap. When I raise the volume, I see it stays above 12-13 V most of the time. But I was hearing it lower when I was listening to the system at a lower volume.
  18. I noticed since a couple weekends ago when my parents and I took a road trip to Maryland, the bass pounds heavy at certain times, and then after it sounds like it lowered. I know it can't be the song because it has a constant beat at a constant level (I was playing my mixes so I know). When my dad pulled over at a store, I went into the backseat and unhooked both of the RCA's that are ran to the o2 Audio (OAD3000.1) monoblock amp. I plugged in the left side first and the subs started knocking a little and that's how I know the left side was getting signal. I unplugged it and plugged in the right side and it did the same. (I plugged them in according to their sides one at a time) The amp is pushing 2 Kicker 12" L7s wired down to 2 ohm (if you check online you'll see the kicker box with them inside, that's what I have)... I don't know what possibly could be the issue. It's starting to scare me. Any ideas or advice?
  19. Do you have any alternative methods in mind to get the 18s working again? We got a show coming up in 2 weeks so we need everything prepared and working.
  20. We have some 18" speakers we DJ with. The pigtail is kinda short and weak so after my cousin keeps soldering it back on, it pops off after a while of bouncing. I was wondering what the pigtail wire is called that goes from the terminal into the cone and where can I get them? I was told to use epoxy glue instead of soldering it back on.
