Not this time. If there are any more shows in Jacksonville before Feb 21 I will bring the truck over. I had to call it quits for the night, it started raining and I cant be using my router this late to cut out the port hole in the top. I will get the box finished tomorrow and get the new floor and amp racks at least started if not built. I should hopefully have it up and running by wednesday.

I cant give you a dead honest opinion because I never got the 5s to full power. I did like the overall sound of the SMDs better though. The level 5 is just more of an SPL sub and is built towards that. I have heard the XLs and they are a much more musical sub. Its not really a fair comparison either because they are such different subs. I will post more on this topic if you remind me. I just got wifi hooked up in my shop and am posting as I work.

I think it is about 16.5 in2 per ft3 tuned to 35hz. Should get pretty damn loud. You didnt miss much I just go started on it a few days ago. I am taking my time on this one, no fuck ups and no more redos. I like those specs I was surprised by how fast you built those lvl 5 and SMD boxes. It looked like you built them well too. Guess not :/ This one seems to be coming along nicely though. Hopefully Matt can get you that Tri-alt bracket..it'll definitely help a lot with that 16k If I get a 153 or better out of this then I am done. No more upgrades on amps or subs. I will get the triple bracket so I can run duals to the back and let my stock run my truck. I was happy with the other boxes quality and sound, but I am glassing this one and have had alot of stuff going on lately so this is a slow build. I also have a few other things in store for the truck tomorrow so keep an eye out for that.

Ok I got off my ass and have gotten some work done tonight. It aint the prettiest glass work I have ever done but it will do the trick for adding some strength to the corners and sealing everything up. For some reason photobucket posts the pictures from last to first. Just start at the bottom.

Is this not a good thing? I trust the shop who is doing it for me. They have done alot of big systems. They are def the best shop in valdsota ga Audio Xtremes and Tint Isnt that neil barbers shop? If so he should know better than to use 4 gauge for anything over about 1500w. Man trust me you have alot of knowledge posting here and telling you to use 0 gauge, trust us you wont regret it. It is going to be a few more dollars but will be well worth it.

I have a friend with 2 yellow top optimas I think he wants to sell. Even if you have to buy them 1 at a time, I would go with XS. you arent going to find a better battery for the money.

Its not completely out of the question, but I am going to see what happens with the Warhorse first. I had some unexpected bills...aka Christmas.... come up that alot of the money I had set aside for the 16K went towards. Drive 4 more hours west and come help me finish and I will come. Other than that I am tired as shit right now and am going to take a nap. Me, 3 hours sleep, and any kind of saw dont mix real well.

Have you ever walled a crew cab in our year f150? I haven't seen one yet. Im not going to try it yet, im still going under the back window for this box.

What you fail to realize drew is that the year f150 that Bret has isn't like the years we have .. 04 - 08 doesn't like walls for whatever reason .. That's odd. I didn't not know this, not like it's common knowledge. lol I am gonna stay below the back window for now since that has been where i had had my best luck. may try a wall at some point just to see how a crew cab likes it. Every other f150 with a wall has been a extended cab, so mine might be different. If I can get back to a 153+ I will be satisfied and quit trying different things for now.

make the door panels out of aluminum, I know you can do badass metalwork. I might try and find a way to get something aluminum in there, but I am just planning on building some fairly simple pods on the bottom of the doors, nothing too complicated. I dont crank my system all the time like some people so I need mids and highs.

Yep I have the AA tweeters. And I dont have the time or patience to build doors that complex.

Anyone have any other ideas for mids and highs for me? I am thinking about a few possibilities. Right now I have 2 sets of kicker qs components, 2 sets of AA carbon mids, and 9 Kicker SS tweeters. I still have 3 sets of rockford t1 6.5" comp sets I was thinking about putting 2 sets in pods in the front doors and the other set in the kicks. Then I have ordered 6 Selenium st200 super tweeters that I am planning on putting 1 in each door and 4 in the center console. That leaves me with the 2 sets of AA mids and kicker qs comp sets and no place for them. If anyone wants the AA mids or the kicker comp sets let me know, they are for sale. I am going to get 3 sets of rockford t2 5.25"s for the new center console i will be building. If anyone has any suggestions throw em out there.
