Id pay extra on an amp purchase if you guys would set the LPF to 80hz for me lol
but idk if the knob would jiggle during shipping
Although I could probably get it close for you, these settings are always going to vary slightly once the amp is installed. Also the HPF and LPF have to be set to min/max when tuning with the dd1, so it would be kind of pointless to be pre set.

I think the tracks can be downloaded. I would still include all disks with the tool. I prefer using those presonally. Only reason to not is if you are using something like an ipad as your source unit and cannot use a CD.
-
True. I wasnt even thinking about the leads or disks.

All great ideas. It would take me some time to sit down and write out a solid rental agreement. One thing that would be in there, if it is damaged, you might as well jsut keep it because you will be charged the full price of the tool. There will be documentation of the condition of the tool before it is sent out for proof.
-
I do like the idea of authorizing full payment on a card before rental. Would not be charged, but I would have the ability to capture those funds if the product is not returned within the agreed upon time frame.
Only way anything would be done is with a signed rental agreement.
-
Standard rental agreement would be have to be signed agreeing to return the tool withing the agreed upon and paid for time frame. Late fee would be charged if not returned in time and full amount of the tool would be charged to a credit card that is kept on file if not returned inside of the allowed time frame.

Would anyone be interested in Droppin HZ offering a SMD Tool rental program? Would include dd1, dd1+, cc1, and amm1. If there is enough legit interest, I will set this up. I know not everyone wants to spend or can afford to spend the money on these tools, but a rental program would give anyone the opportunity to properly tune/test their system. Pricing would vary based on the tool and length of rental. You would pay rental fee and shipping both ways.

One thing I have been told is that you may have to sign a waiver when puchasing. Basically stating that you are responsible if you fuck something up, not XS.

Unless the cone on you sub now is failing, the AR cone really wont have enough effect to be worth reconing a working sub.

No coil upgrades. Nothing is available that will allow them to thermally handle more power. If you want to upgrade your power, then you would need to look at the level 5 or 6.

#1 the gun gets drawn in an attempt to diffuse the situation whether or not I shoot is up to that person.
#2 if it's about to be my life or his it's going to be his every time.
You have 1 major issue. If a weapon is drawn, you damn sure better use it. NO weapon should be drawn without the intent of firing. If my weapon comes out of my holster, shots will be fired. If you draw your weapon and do not discharge, you now open yourself to brandishing charges. If shots are fired you have at least a shot at a self defense claim.
Moral of this story DO NOT pull your weapon unless you are going to use it.

My answer to this is simple and would most likely keep me out of jail.
If I feel that my life or the lives of those with me are or could be in danger, shoot first answer questions later.
I would rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

Man the different colors really set the look of the amp off.
Can the DC logo color be changed too?
Do you mean like this?
Are those logos just stickers? They look a little different than the other parts.
Yes they are decal covers.

If you need help locating m2 Level 6 motors let me know. Would be a bit expensive to ship, but they are out there.

Whats the difference between the regular DD1 and DD1 High voltage? I can't find a combo pack of the regular DD1 and CC1 but there is a combo pack for the DD1 High Voltage and CC1. Thanks
Regular DD1 is good up to I believe about 10-15000w. The DD1-HV is meant for high power amplifiers, something like strapping a pair of 10k amps.
I have a build your own combo pack available, you choose the tools that you want.

I don't think he's using the amps as master and slave. In which case you would set both with the dd-1.
Nope. He has 2 Crescendo S1500s which are not strappable amplifers.
Amp 1 needs to be set with the dd1 and then the cc1 needs to be used in competition mode to "gain match" amp 1 to amp 2.

Matching the gains of mulitiple amplifiers.
This procedure requires the CC-1 to be placed in a special mode reserved for SPL competitors and audiophiles.
1. Switch the CC-1 off by holding the OFF button for 1 second. (This must be done to initalize the program mode) Now switch CC-1 power on by pressing the ON button.
2. Disconnect the harness to make sure there is no signal being applied to the CC-1 and that the Signal LED is NOT illuminated.
3. Press and hold the READ button for 3-5 seconds or until the Set LEDs start flashing. Release Set button. CC-1 is now in competition mode!!
4. Next you need to connect the CC-1 to the “Master” amplifier’s outputs. Use the included harness to connect to amplifier’s outputs; Red to speaker (+) and Black to battery ground.
12
5. Set the source unit’s volume to zero. Select the track on the CD that corresponds to the desired frequency you wish to match gains at. If you don’t know which frequency to use try 40 Hz (track 10 Disc A) if it is a subwoofer amplifier, or 1 kHz (track 8 Disc if it is a full range amplifier. Play track on repeat.
6. Continue by turning up the source unit volume until you see the Signal LED illuminate green. If the LED turns red, this indicates the volume is too high. Turn volume down until LED remains green.
7. When Signal LED remains Green, press the READ button. The Blue Calibrated LED should illuminate.
8. Now without touching any adjustments on anything, connect the CC-1 to the output of the next amplifier that you wish to match it’s gain to the first amplifier.
9. The LEDs will indicate if the gain is too high or too low compared to the “Master” amplifier.
10. Adjust gain on the amplifier that the CC-1 is now connected to until the Calibrated LED illuminates. The amplifier’s gain is now matched to the Master amplifier’s gain within +/- 0.05dB !!
11. Repeat steps 9 – 11 for any other amplifiers in the system. -
After setting the gain on amp 1, you need to refer to Page 11 in the CC1 Owners manual.
-
Give me a few minutes and I will try and help trouble shoot for you. I just have to get this paper finished and turned in.
-
Let me make sure I am following everything here.
1) Gains have been set on amp 1 using DD-1
2) You are now trying to use the CC1 to gain match amp 1 to amp 2

Matt,
Do you have your bass knob turned all the way up?
-
-
haha. Better to side with more electrical. No such thing as too much battery support.
-
I would start with 4 D7500s or a bank of other models of equal capacity.
SMD Tool Rental...Who would be interested?

Looks like there is alot of interest in this. I will start to get things together to make this happen. First step is DD1s getting back in stock.
