So im gonna recone my subs and I'm wondering if updating the surround would be a good idea. The surround that is currently on them is a foam surround that doesn't allow much excursion. Im thinking of getting a different subs recone kit and putting them together. Thinking like t3 tsns 15 or dc lvl 5 15. Would those go together with the team rf subs? I have a guy here locally that will be doing the recones, thats why im asking the noob questions cause im not doing it. But im thinking of keeping the spiders they have and the 4'' voice coil but wondering about a better cone and surround pretty much. Let me know your thoughts on combining the subs like this. Oh the magnets are like 105lbs each so yea they can handle whatever.

well you want the box as big as you can make it. and if your wanting to hit good numbers then look up the fs of the sub and tune the box right around that fs or a bit higher. I hit a 153.8 on my 2 15'' Team rockford fosgate's on 2 t2500.1s but i have 2 hc2400s and 2 hc1800s and the box is 9c^ft tuned @ 38hz lol. its my daily and it hits great doesn't slam the lows but sounds good still and is extremely loud. Good hairtricks too.

if you hold a good charge of 13+ those sx's can handle a good 2k rms each, but at that power level if you clip them then they prolly gonna toast. So unless you really know how to set gains and not beat the shit outta them daily then id stay with 1 ap3000.1

those subs will take that power and i dont see why you wouldn't hit those numbers. You might want a lil more power though but id just do that setup and see where your at. You'll be really close to a 150 im sure.

ya it says mine can do something like 3k at 14.4 im guessing its cause i only have 4 hc 2400 batteries in my car and no alt yet just big 3.... this summer i wanna get a dc power 270 im sure that will make a huge difference in power output.

im really thinking of selling them. im pretty sure i can get about 1k each locally which means i could buy a new amp or 2 and 270amp alt with it.

How exactly do you know its stronger? Or is it just a better amp all in all? I have 2 of them im just not sure if they would be better or not. I see some of these vids with the 3000d and am like damn... Im about 2 weeks out from putting 2 audioque hdc3-A 15s in so im just wondering...

Audiopipe 3000d...vs... Rf t2500.1... Which one has better output at 14.4v and will sound better @ 1ohm? They are both great amps i know but I have 2 rf t2500.1s and am wondering about switching to a different amp. Maybe even a audioque 3500d or 2. All opinions are welcome i wanna know as much as i can about these amps, and how reliable they are.

old thread but the nw audio show is coming up on june 20th this year its at the kci expo center gonna be a sick comp im sure. Theres always some pretty damn big cars that come out to there shows.

Im fiberglassing the inside of my box but i dont know what material to use to brace it further. Its a box for 4 12'' subs... about 7.5 cubes. Any input is helpful.

well i have the 4 12'' mtx 8500s right now. i just didnt know if i should use them cause i would be putting almost 3krms to a pair of them... thats double what they should be using. I mean i will have to turn the gain down like hell on these amps but i could trade a guy for the kicker. And yes ive always been anti kicker lol but still...

I have 6kwrms if i want to use it all. About 7.5 cubes after port. Which would be louder and better sounding in a scion tc?

hey everyone in the area of KC should go to the NW Audio show on june 20th. It'll be a crazy big show and its inside at the KCI Expo Center. A couple thousand people always turn up and this year is gonna be even bigger.

i have 2 of them on 2 RE AUDIO MX subs. the rated power is 1500rms on those and im throwing 3k daily at them... I used to have a w7 and they are hell of a nice sub. those 13s will be fine on a 2500.1, plus youll be running like 1.5ohms right? so you wont be doing the full power of them amp anyway.

Ive gotten a quote from rusty on what i can get the lvl 4xls for and im happy with that price. Its really a close toss up with aq and dc.... Both ive seen do some crazy stuff the most power ive seen an aq 12 take is a sundown 3000d. which is a good pure 3k. Im really not sure what all the 12'' xls can but i might give em a shot. as i said its a close toss up i like both the brands.
