I wouldnt these are custom built.. You cant buys these from DD... The guy i got these from had 3 in his van and was doing 178 db's.... Im doing right at a 150 with these with about 2000w...

Its a 03 Chevy Tracker.. The tuneing for my car is higher somewhere up around 55-60.. Havnt quite found it yet but if my box is not tuneing to where it should be im not going to be able to find it, ya know? I gained 1.2 DB's from changeing my frequency from 40-49.. so im still getting louder i just havent found my peak frequency yet..

And when i test im at 49-50 so somethings not adding up... i was at 40hz with it 6in wide...

Got some custom built 9515G's i might get rid of for the right price...

All right lets just get right down to it.. My box is 33x28.5x18 port is 16.5x10x10.2 sub displacement is .26 per sub.. By my math i should be tuned to between 52-55 but im down at 49-50.. and would like to be 55-60... Ive run it through a few diffrent calculators and had friends look at it to and we come up with the same thing so i thought i would ask on here... Im putting up a 148.5-148.7 at 2500w i should be up over a 150 when i get my tuneing right... So what you guys think? I will rebuild my box if need be.. Idea's and designs welcome..

Right now would be the time to get the quantums there changeing there whole line and you can pick them up pretty cheap.. My local dealer has the SPL Quantum 15's for around 150ea and there rated for 1500rms and 3000max.. i was doing a 146 in the trunk with 2 12's and MTX 81001... Very good sub beat on them for about a year and sold them and the guys still beating on them a year later...

I did some testing yesterday and did a 148 at 40Hz under 2500w.. Im tuned way to low and my math on my box puts me at 47Hz but somehow im down at 40hz.. I wanna be up around 55Hz.. I should be up around a 150-151...

Beat as in how? The 8's will hit lower and have a cleaner sound but theres a big diffrence in cone area there so the 12's might be louder over a certain range.. Id say 4 8's or even 3 8's on the 2000w would be alot better than the shallows.. Id go with the DD 1508 or the sundown 8's.. Both very good subs...

Then i would not recommend running them down to 1ohm... Upgrade you electrical then you may be able to run them down that far.. I had my stetsom 1k4 1ohm version running 0.5 daily for about 6 months but i had 2 batts and a upgraded alt..

Have you thought about changeing your port a little to get the same frequency, but not be that far behind the sub?

What kinda electrical upgrades do you have... Alt. Batts?

Are you goin to do subs under or behind seat?

Ive ran 2 10" kicker CVT's and they just didnt do it for me.. Didnt have no lows at all.. I had better results with two 8" L7's.. Alot louder and had great lows for 8's.. I wouldnt recommend any of the shallow subs you want be happy at all...

Ok first off what im working with.. 1 DD9515 Hybrid. A Mmats M3000.05.. and got the Batt power to back it.. Ok now what i already have. A 4.3cuft box tuned to 38hz for daily use and doing a 141.0 @ 1 ohm clamped about 1200w and 145.5 @ .25 clamped about 2400w.. So im going to build a box for spl and i wanna know a good frequency to start at i was thinking about 50hz and go from there.. I have a second DD to use as well but i dont know if i have the room in my tracker, not a lot of room back there with batts and amp.. And the other think is how much will my score go up on an average? Thanks for the help guys...
