  1. i am upgrading to adobe cs5 right now, i can have a try when its finished installing
  2. no Internet isnt stolen, its just this site that wont work for some reason
  3. thanks im not sure if i will have room for builds, but it is a section i thought about adding yesterday i gotta add a funky pups section too and a few others i remembered yesterday
  4. thanks everyone for helping i plan to get 1 picture for each brand, sub, amp, battery etc., and then the pictures will be linked to the company websites hopefully ill get all the good brands in, if i end up working this into a site, maybe more can be added later
  5. i have that exact amp, pushing my 15s, but mine gets a bit hot after 30min or so of straight playing (if im out driving and amp doesnt sit long before using again) however i got mine for the same price, i personally hate the type of terminals it uses, ive never liked those type, but it pushes my 15s nicely, giving about 200 or so rms to each 15, my birthsheet said 583 rms at 2ohms, i assume yours is the same
  6. awesome, lots of info thanks a lot there can be more than 10, i just wanted at least 10, if theres enough ill go 15-20 thanks for the details freshman, that will save me a bit of time im hoping this will prove slightly educational, too many people around where i live are all about kicker and mtx cause all we have is the mass produced brands, or got pay extra to get something from a local shop which there is not much of @smgreen20, you are right i forgot about h/u's i will have to check out some of the brands for them as well, im a pioneer guy myself so i havent looked much into other h/u's i just now thought, i could also do a section for specialty items like ipads or carputers, dunno if there is enough ehre to make a whole section on are there sites that specialize in information only on quality brands? curious cause i basically have to create a website that will work in powerpoint, just wondered since i got all the layout and info done once this project is complete and i can host online for free, maybe i could put this up as an informational site for quality car audio brands
  7. lol i noticed that and went right away and edited it and fixed it, the site is really messed at school and they wont let me put firefox on computer, they use IE and it make each post take up nearly a whole page (equal to scrolling through like 10 reasonably sized posts) and when it ry to reply or post it moves so I cant hit the button, very weird but its been fixed, right now im making the background and buttons for the presentations my pages will be, in no particular order subs amps component speakers wiring (will consist of wiring diagrams) the big 3 alternators and where you can get good ones for car audio batteries and good brands (i may need help on this one, i know of kinetik, xs power, optima) t/s parameters different wire gauge sizes termlab enclosures dynamat (various brands) also every image i have has to be credited and linked, so every image of a sub or amp will be linked to the company that owns it adn same goes to any other picutre i use
  8. I am doing a project where I have to build an interactive powerpoint presentation. I've Chosen to do this on Car Audio. I am curious if I can get some help on some brands though, so I can try to use only quality brands for subs, amps, components. And for amps I want to try and keep it CEA-Compliant amps. I also plan to try and have at least 10 different brands for each section, but more if I can get enough for all sections. I know of a few or at least think I do, they are as follows: Subs Fi, AA, DC Audio, Digital Designs, SSA, Sundown, RE Audio, Incriminator Audio, Rockford Fosgate, American Bass, Audio Que Amps US Amps, Diablo Audio Technologies, Crescendo Audio, Soundstream, Rockford Fosgate, Stetsom, Sundown Components Need lots of help here I think the rest of presentation I got the info for already, but I want to know what everyday Audiophiles suggest as quality brands any help is greatly appreciated adn Ill post my rpesenation up if anyone wants, when it is done
  9. thank you i have already tried clearing cache and cookies, even installed some security software, as i had none previously, (just hadnt reinstalled since OS upgrade) and had no problems now yahoo.com actually started doing same thing this morning, this is weird
  10. nope, i have never been banned or even had warnings for anything ive always been kynto on here my IP addres to my knowledge has also always been the same did the flush dns and it still doesnt work without a proxy, so i can only think its my IP address any chance a mod may have set it to ban an ip starting with a certain number or containing a certain number
  11. i know final ohm load is less than 4, both speakers are 4 ohm load but speaker terminals are bridged parallel internally, meaning it is dropping the ohm load of the speakers if two of them are wired (or so i understand it to be that way) car is 1999 oldsmobile alero ground is good, i previously had a class d mono in it and it was about 3 times as powerful and it never got hot, ground is directly on the frame, paint has been grinded off i set the gain by doing the test where you turn settings down and turn volume up a bit and then slowly turn gain up until some distortion, then i turned the gain down 2 steps form this and since then i have turned gain down another 2 steps, originally gain went to 8-9 before distortion, i turned it to 6-7 and right now its between 4-5
  12. as i thought it is something to do with my ip address i am using a proxy and i can access the site from home now, but if i use my normal ip i cannot access the site, this is the only site that does this, so i am unsure as to why it is doing this i do not see my isp banning this site as there is nothing wrong with it, so sadly i may have to use a proxy every time i want to go here, which sucks because this is about the only thing i check on besides email on the internet
  13. 4 gauge power and ground wire, and 12 gauge wire from subs to amp
  14. yea i am quite sure i have no firewall. The OS firewall it shut off and i have no virus software at all (havent installed it since I upgraded to windows 7) I had just got done replying to a post, and then received a message from forevrbumpn, went to reply and all of a sudden it was down, and i havent been abck since while at home
  15. I have a class AB Rockford Fosgate Prime R500.1 amp. The speaker terminals are bridged in parallel internally and the 2 subs I have installed with it are dual 4 ohm, so I assume with the terminals bridged internally it presents a 2 ohm load. The amp is good at 2 ohms, and is putting about 200Rms or so to each sub, each sub can handle 500rms and the birth sheet rates the amp at 583RMS at 14.4v. I have not had the chance to see what voltage I am sitting at, but still I can only get about 30 min or less of music play before amp overheats and shuts down, i installed the amp sunday and this has happened twice since then. I have notice there are soem fans you can buy or I can get a computer fan, but I am nto sure how I should ount them to make sure they work when the amp is running and they wont stay on, and give good air flow. The amp is mounted on the back of my back seat, the back seat folds down, right now I am playing it with seat fodled down and back window down to try and keep it cool. The boxed is sealed and takes up majority of back trunk, there is roughly 3 inches or so from top of box to the top of trunk. The back of my car is actually wrecked a bit, and the trumnk has a gap in it, so that should allow plenty of air flow in as well. Any ideas what fans or such would be best and where I can find them? To be sure about my wiring of the subs, I used the12volt.com wiring diagragm to make sure the subs present a 4ohm load to the amp, because previously the subs were wired at 2ohms and being wired at 2 ohms and then going to a terminal that is bridged in parallel, i think it was giving the amp a 1 ohm load the subs sounded awesome, but amp would go into protect mode after minute or so of play, so I quickly rewired them.
  16. I am unsure why, but I cannot access the forum while at home. I have not changed any settings adn I have used 3 different browsers, and it will not allow me to access the forum. Tells me the site is either busty or i have a firewall blocking my connection, but I am ont he site now at school and called my wife to see if she coudl get on and it had same problem, and I do not have a firewall so I know that is not the issue. Is anyone else having this problem? Did my IP get blocked for any reason?
  17. i dont think thats the problem, as i said above a installed the exact same h/u but it was my friends and it worked, its just that my own h/u does not work, they were same model and all so i do think it was the protect mode or anything like that, i just think its the internal amp
  18. them there burgers shouldn't taste so good then mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm sadly i cant afford fast food anyways so lucky me, lol
  19. i redid all wiring today, and it still messed up, i found out a friend of mine has same stereo, so we hooked it up seeing if it would do same thing, and his worked just fine, so i think the problem may be the internal amp like pioneer told me not sure what else it could be i think ill just put it on ebay or something cause someone may know how to fix it, ill just have to look around for another one thats i can afford thanks for the help everyone
  20. installed h/u again, now i can go up in volume without it cutting out or shutting off, but if i use anything like bass, middle, treble, loud, or slam settings, it basically starts cutting out, so all of those are set at 0 right now adn then h/u works, not sure where the problem is, ill prolly take it out along with wiring and get some pics to see if its wired right or ill have to fork over some cash for a new one
  21. currently only speakers hooked up are my front door speakers and tweeters, ill try to reinstall and see what the cd player does this time also ill recheck all the wires, cant remember how the wires are done, a friend of mine hooked it up, back then i had no idea of anything car audio, since then i wished i had done research first, lol
  22. thank you i dont have a lot of time to do extra stuff, but im always happy to try when i have time
  23. if i wasnt so busy with work and college i could easily make a vector drawing of it, and then you could make it any size youd like, wouldn't cost anything but my time but sadly very busy right now and also wouldn't want to take anything from techforce, but at the same time i understand wanting to save money
  24. i contemplated 18s as well, but currently at 15s, my trunk is taller than 16 inches but if the box going in is taller than 16.5 inches, it will not fit through the opening, and even though my seats fold down, still wouldnt be room in the back seat to push box through, although i supposed if you built the entire system within the car already it would be possible, maybe mount subs from inside of box rather than outside, dunno
  25. any new input anyone can shed to possibly get this h/u working again
