  1. Alright back from messing around on it. New plugs and wires, much better throttle response but my problem persists.

Ran the codes and only O2 sensors came up. Put it on the lift and discovered... HEY! previous owner removed the front two O2 sensors. Sketchy fuck.

I am guessing this is causing sensors and what not to go out of whack

Missing O2 sensors are causing the computer to get confused, therefore your problem. The reason it goes away is because Ford computers figure out the problem and correct it in about 3-5 minutes.

Awesome man, thanks for the info! Ill get some sensors soon and update how it goes

  2. I would put it on the scanner and check the tps sensor. then slowly press down on the pedal and watch the voltage, it should slowly increase from around 1.2 volts to around 4.88 volts , if you get to a point where it doesnt increase or get a wacky reading you might have a worn spot on the tps sensor. I am not saying its your tps sensor thats bad but if there are no codes stored in the pcm then your gonna have to test certian sensors to see if you can find the problem. it wont be a coil pack because that would give the engine a miss. One question for you though, does this only happen engine cold? and can you get the engine to do this by reving in neutral at said rpm?

Yes sir ONLY WHEN ENGINE COLD does this happen. I havent tried in neutral actually, i am about to leave my house to my friends shop to do some work on the car. Ill try it in neutral

  3. What is puzzling me the most, is that this is only upon cold start. After driving for 5 min it goes away

So it stops when the car reaches operating temperature? Just let the car warm up before driving it lol.

Has to be a sensor issue if it just goes away after driving a few minutes. Are you throwing any codes?

Haha, wow i feel challenged. I completely forgot to check for codes before diagnosing :noob: I will definitely check tonight

  4. whats compression on all the cylinders could be a vlavle floating or burnt or push rod

I do not know yet, I will see if i can find out tonight

Have you checked timing and fuel pressure yet?

Fuel pressure is good. Checking timing tonight

I would visit a Mustang forum as I'm absolutely POSITIVE they could diagnose this problem in about 15 seconds. Also, there are a couple die hard Mustang guys on here. 727Designs knows a thing or two about them I think, and a few other know the Fox body Mustangs very well.

Not true, at least for me. I posted this exact thread days ago on mustangforums and got one reply that was no help.

How many miles are on the motor? A lot of heavy footed driving? I agree with checking compression of each cylinder. Also check the valvetrain, although issues there usually have noise with them.

89,992 miles. Only recently i have been messing around with people, so i would say heavy driving the past 2 weeks

  5. Possibly ignition related...def check coil packs and plugs. Have coils tested and if youre gonna go thru the effort of pulling the plug, might as well just throw a new set in regardless... its cheap insurance. Pull the plugs and post a screen shot of them... might get an idea of whats going on in there from how the plugs look.

I pulled the plugs on 11-18-11 and they were absolutely filthy, and got new ones. However i forgot to do the seafoam BEFORE installation of the new plugs. So right now my new plugs have had the abuse of seafoam and are white. I am installing new plugs and wires tonight, Ill let you know the results.

Unfortunately i do not have money for new coil packs right now:/

I had a similar problem in my 02 Monte Carlo. It was the mass airflow sensor. Try getting the MAF cleaner if that makes a good difference that might be the problem. Look in it and make sure the little sensors are clean and shiny. Good luck

I cleaned the MAF with the specified cleaner, nothing different. thanks though!

Also have a vacuum test done to make sure there's no leaks or a clog in the cats/exhaust system.

No vacuum leaks, i thought of that too

  6. I am having power issues with my 1996 svt cobra. It has been doing it randomly the past week but now is consistent whenever the engine is cold. In 1st and 2nd gear it is blatantly obvious and sometimes in 3rd, almost exactly on the 3300rmp mark I lose about 25%-35% power. It acts as if I let off the gas and got back on it. I have thoroughly cleaned the intake and MAF and the problem still persists!

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

Some parts that have been mentioned to me to replace:

    IMRC plates

    Coil pack

    MAF sensor

    TPS sensor

    Plugs and wires

11-18-11 I used Seafoam today and cleaned a bunch of crap out, so far its running a lot smoother but still have my problem.

11-20-11 Finished cleaning the entire intake and IMRC plates today. Runs so much better and smoother... however my problem still persists.

  7. Hey guys I rebuilt my computer and I really need some help!

I have an alienware aurora r3 motherboard and tower along with the power supply it came with.

    Intel I5 2500k processor

8gs of ddr3 corsair vengence ram

    (2) nvidea geforce gts 450 cards

    (1) 500g sata harddrive(i dont know the brand) this is the hard drive the OS loads off

    (1) 1T western digital caviar black hard drive (this is brand new, no data on it)

Thermaltake contac 30 heatsink, the processor is not overheating

So my problem is that whenever I start the computer, during bootup on the windows XP load screen is flashes a blue error screen and resets. It does this endlessly.

I pulled the ram and checked to make sure both are working -check-

Removed one of the graphics cards because i havent been able to boot up to turn on the SLI

    Romved the new harddrive

Then I pressed f8 during bootup and turned off the automatic reset error option

Its sitting on the blue error screen and this is my error

Run CHKDSK /F to check for hard drive corruption, and then restart your computer.

    Technical information:

    *** STOP: 0x0000007B (0xB84C3524,0xC0000034,0x00000000,0x00000000)

Could my OS be infected or have a problem? I have heard that i may need to boot off my XP disk and hit "repair" instead of reformatting it

ANY help is greatly appreciated!! Thankyou

  8. With exception of very few subs out there (that you need to worry about spider damage) the point of breaking in a subwoofer has to do with getting optimum sound quality out of the sub when you install it.

A woofers sound will change some after break in but it will do it over a course of a few weeks of normal play too.

I have noticed Kicker subs change a lot after break in. Get lower and sound more robust after they loosen up.

^This, after about 2 months of my cvr's I started to notice that I could turn them up more on lower notes without bottoming out like they used to. Plus, they are getting louder I believe
