  1. i think with 2 ports i can get around 10 sq inches of port per cubic foot, so i don't know if that is too small, especially for the 12 BL with 4" coil. i will be giving the sub around 1800rms
  2. i went to royal electronics and the other places on commercial st. but they were the plain tube ports not aero ports. I called a bunch of shops in the area and no body carries them, oh well, i guess i gotta go with parts express. i thought of building my own but i don't think i would be able to get the end flat so that it creates a nice seal with the baffle.
  3. i called a place in san jose and the guy said they had some. I'll probably stop by after class and check it out
  4. i asked this question in my FI BL thread, but I wanted to post here to see if more people would see my question and could help me out. Im looking for 4" aero ports for the fiberglass box that I'm building, but i wanted to buy them locally to save on shipping costs and the time that it takes for parts express to ship here to California. if any one can help me out i would greatly appreciate it.
  5. Thanks for your help with placing my order yesterday Nathan. Can't wait for the battery to get here so i can start wiring up the amps
  6. There aren't any taxes unless you are in TN. great, i'll probably be placing an order for a D680 for the trunk of my mustang. i currently have a yellow top under the hood powering a kicker650.4 and a RFt1500-1bdcp, do you think this will this be a good solution?
  7. nice car and very clean install. the only difference between yours and what i want to do is the sub location. you put yours behind the wheel well, i'm planning on tubbing the spare tire well so the sub is facing up and building a false floor with the amps underneath.
  8. Yea I saw that thread, but I'm looking for finished product pictures, just to give me some ideas of how I might make it look
  9. Hey guys, I'm looking to see if you can post up any pics of wheel well enclosure setups for trunk cars. I'm planning on selling my 2 kicker cvx's and getting a Fi 12" BL or Q and doing a wheel well enclosure in my Mach 1 so that i have a trunk again. I'm going to keep what I am running currently running: a kicker 650.4 to my polk 6.5 components and a RF t1500-1bdcp, and just getting a new sub. Hope some people have pics, I did a few searches and couldn't find anything.
  10. can you tune it to the mid 30 Hz range, and i was wondering if you could also tune Speedin' by The Hoodstarz to like 32-35HZ. Thanks
  11. cool thanks. how about the internal part of it. did u purchase that somewhere or did you make that as well. how many lumens is that LED?
  12. is there a kit that they sell online to make a maglite like this or did you make everything yourself. i have a few older maglites laying around the house and would love to convert them to something like this. thanks
  13. the box is going into my durango. i already have two 10" CVX's in the Mach 1. i did some playing around with the numbers in the box calculator. i can easily get the box size down to around 8 cubic feet, but what should my port area be? i might be using the fi bl's instead of the type r's if i upgrade my amp so would this same box design work for both subs?
  14. hope this one is large enough to read, cant seem to enlarge it anymore
  15. if i decide to go with the two type r's i was thinking of going with a box like this. these dimensions are the max i would like to go with but i do think that it might be a little to large for these speakers. as far as the port goes i think i got the right tuning but is the port area too small?
  16. Hey guys just joined the forum andhave read a lot of good info. I got a hifonics 2010d for Christmas it puts out 2000rms @14.4 volts so I was thinking of getting a pair of 15's for my 01 Durango. Initially I was gonna go with two alpine 15's but now I'm considering two 15" Fi BL's. What would u guys suggest. Will this amp Be enough to power the Fi's? I created an enclosure on sketchup, I'll post it up later when I get home and some measurments. Sorry for the typos, I'm on my phone
