According to the chart of his 30gig HDD, it is currently set to "DS (Slave) or Spare". Hopefully this doesnt do anything to my comp, dont have nearly enough experience with this -

If its a short, how would setting it up outside of the case help? It flashes immediately after plugging it in whether I press power or not, pressing power does nothing different. And unfortunately I dont have another PSU to try with. Side question, I want to hook up his HDD to an external case so I can get his stuff off for him, would I have to worry about his OS trying to load and would I have to worry about it causing any kind of damage if his HDD is fried too? This all went down during the huge electrical storms we were having -

When i went from middle school to high school i started dieting, i lost 30 lbs in a month by following my own idea of a health plan, of course it could also be because i was still young. I would eat or drink NOTHING that had more than 5 grams of fat or 10 grams of sugar, i never even looked at calories, honesty it worked great. Good luck to ya man -
Odd but useful question

Just bought a new WD 2TB Caviar Green internal HDD, it says its an advanced format drive and if Im running XP with multiple partitions I need their Align software, if I have XP with a single partition then I need a jumper. My current HDD has a partition for Windows but the new one wont have one (Just going to be for storage), so do I need the jumper or the software? If I need the jumper, where do I place it? On top of the drive it says in the 7-8 spot but according to pics Ive found on google that seems to be the spot for it to be a master drive. I pulled a jumper off of my old IDE Seagate hdd, will that cause any problems if I use it on this Sata WD? EDIT: Got it figured out

I live in Iowa so it can get really fuckin cold, obviously my subs barely (if at all) hit when they are cold as they need to heat up so I was just wondering if there is any risk of harming them by still playing my music loud when they are still cold I have the touchscreen dvd player, the screen hasnt been used in months (failed box design) and I was wondering if the screen will be completely fucked from the frigid cold when I can finally use it again

I'm pretty sure the only difference is the head unit control for the sub. Other than than that, the amp takes a signal from anything you hook up to it and if you notice, it has a frequency range which also picks up voices if you set it high enough I had my amp hooked up to the rear outs and now it's on the sub out. sounds the same. tl;dr if your head unit has sub control you're going to want it on the sub pre-out. heck, just hook it up right... Well whenever I can find someone to build me a box for my stereo I will be able to do that, need the screen to set it up

Its the Jensen UV10 dvd HU. Its hooked to the normal amp out (unsure what to do for the sub out since its only one rca). It does have bass gain but IIRC its not much and since my dad messed up on the box I cant access my screen to adjust that. In a way I dont understand and I think isnt right at all but the guy at best buy wired it and my brothers friend (who apparently knows a lot about car audio) said its the way he would have wired it. The amp speaker wire goes to one sub, and then a second wire goes from that sub to the other. lol wait a second wire? just one or actually a piece of speaker wire that has 2 conductors a pos and neg? also check the phase of your woofers it sounds like you have a phase issue. pop your speakers with a cordless drill battery to make sure they are botrh moving outward. also use a rca y adapter on your sub out Nooo, its a second speaker wire haha. What do you mean pop my speakers? Im still learning. Do you think going from the normal amp out to the sub out would really make that much of a difference? Btw, I know for a fact his wasnt on the sub out but Id be willing to do it of course.

As posted awhile back I bought my brothers subs and amp, he bought (and was using) the exact same HU that I have, but the bass was really good in his car with bass boost on the amp all the way off and when I hooked them up to my car you could hear almost nothing even with the volume all the way up and your head right by the subs. I had to put bass boost all the way up for it to actually hit and I can tell its really wearing on them now so what could the problem be? Subs are 2 12" Xplode and the amp is a Kenwood KAC-8105d EDIT: He said he didnt mess with any of the amp controls either

Well the only parts I could really use is the hard drive (which I figured would be for the OS and a 2tb internal for movies), my 2 disc drives but I really want to get a blu-ray burner so one will go, and the extra fan I bought for it but either way it is a bit of money saved. 42", damn I still only have a 32". I was gonna buy a 50 or 60 inch tv on black friday but they didnt have a vga port and I dont have an hdmi output on my comp yet

Im hoping I dont have to spend 600 but if I do then it will have to be done over 2 paychecks just to make sure I still have plenty for rent and all. What motherboard would you recommend on newegg? I dont have a set time to do it but Ive been the same way cause mine gets real sluggish after a few months usually as well. Ive thought about doing reinstalls for other people for a small price but what do I do about the product key, I mean can the same code be used multiple times on different comps?
