  1. haha nice. i saw the topic name and was like "what! someone giving away subs!!!!??"
  2. I currently have a 2 Cuft box excluding port area, which i cant remeber the volume of at the moment, and have managed a 140.3dB. I'm slowly moving into the sound off scene, but want to keep my sub as a daily driver, so want to build a decent box that will enable me to produce the highest dB score possible for the equipment i am currently using. at the competitions, the metre is on the windscreen on passengers side (I live in New Zealand so thats on the left hand side of the car). I've heard that having the port on the right side of the box will help increase my dB, and firing the sub towards the rear of the car will also increase it. is this true? my current set up fires the sub upwards, and the port is on the left hand side of the box facing the rear of the car. any help you could give on box designs, placement of port/sub, (anything like that) will be great thanks
  3. shit man. no matter what you put in there (to some extent) thats going to be loud as hell!!
  4. i agree with this! lol. i think it kind of sad to sell a gift. might as well use it for the mids and run another amp for the sub edit: didnt see it said you have amp already for mids. im sure you could run something off the amp though
  5. that sucks man, hence why i wire everything in my car myself, that way you know exactly whats been done and if stuff like this happens you can quickly fix it (not that it should go wrong if you know what your doing) But yeah, i agree with other comments, redo it all, and any questions, just ask the guys on here. ive always found them to be REAL helpful
  6. i agree with the amplifier choice. wire the subs parallel to get a 2 ohm load. (with your current wiring configuration, in series, the subs are wired to an 8 ohm load) Don't have a clue how many watts you are running at the moment though
  7. haha cheers guys that helps heaps had never heard of liquid glue until now or the surface thing on MDF (learnt something new today). will probably use MDF, silicone, screws and that stuff and just make sure i do it perfect first time. thanks for the help again
  8. Planning on building a new box before the end of the year, but i'm not sure with what material i should use. ill be building roughly a 100 litre ported box. and want to get the most out of the sub. last box sort of failed as the wood was under too much pressure because it was a very small sealed box. wish to avoid this problem second time round. Any advice you can give me will be much appreciated. Thanks
  9. installed the amp in the weekend, and will have a db reading for how loud it is probably in 2 or 3 days haha
  10. yeah i know aye, if u expect too much, then u will never sell it and so never get the money, ive decided if it sells thats cool, if not then ill probably just wire it up and use it haha
  11. thanks for the replies guys, you got a real good point with the whole sound thing, true that the only way to know if it's too loud or not is to simply install and try it. if i do end up selling it i think ill put it up for a bit more than what i payed because i was fortunate enough to talk the guy in the shop down a few hundred dollars haha. oh another question is that, if i run the amp a fair bit under the supposed average RMS, will it still sound good?
  12. Just wondering what people would expect to pay or be willing to pay for a brand new Fusion NV-Series NV-AM 25001 amp? Im asking this because i recently bought one but have decided not to install it into my car and was hoping to sell it, but not sure on what price i should sell it for. It has not been used and is sitting in the box it came in in my room, so i'd say it's brand new. what do you think i should sell it for? thanks also im sure some of you could answer me this. If i run my 15" sub at RMS 825W with this amp, how loud would it be? would it be too loud to sit in and listen to like day in and day out? and if i did run this amp would i need to run a second battery and alternator or would i be sweet running it off the one battery and alternator? thanks heaps if you can help
  13. thanks man that helps heaps like the sound of the dubstep haha
