  1. well i have not bought a cap ...or a battery or an alt..lol I planned on battery in the back (found some dual post 100 ca batts or $90) was just trying to get around the alternator upgrade....being cheap..but that's what I figured no getting around it
  2. it is slow but they will work it out for sure, they will not let their members down I have faith in SMD
  3. I am trying to get out of buying a second alternator or possibly h/o alternator so I was wondering if I put a second battery in the back and then ran power line from first battery then to a cap and then to the battery would it properly charge the battery and take the strain off of the electrical system , I will be pushing approx 2500 watts but I am trying to get some good clean power
  4. well if those are type r 12's they are only rated for 750 watts and if you are running that brutis at 1ohm you are feeding 1200 watts to them ...amp warming is normal its only a problem if it goes into protect ...but if you are running clean power to that amp i doubt it but it is possible you are peaking above 1200 watts ...either way you need to break those subs in but you are running in my opinion to much power to those type r's
  5. I started a previous build log but lost it and since I haven't done shit since then it really doesn't matter. Any way I figure I would start over here is the Tracker and I have been thinking of how I will do the wiring so much I decided to make a rough diagram for the juice I had to do something I am getting restless waiting on pay day so I can start. I am going with 1/0 power wire from both alternators (dual on 2nd alt) 1/0 ground, 4 ga from batteries to amps, and 10 ga to speakers .....anyway until next Friday I have nothing better to do maybe I'll post pics of the amps, subs, and speakers
  6. stinger makes a piece that turns speaker wire to rca out for amplifier installation but I'm not sure if it works both ways but it is something to look into
  7. you aint kidden i noticed that after i posted as well....guess i should shut the laptop off while driving...lol
  8. NICE is that the 8k or the 12k?
  9. Never mind just saw the picture
  10. I'm starting a build with a soft top tracker but I'm going to wall it off how is yours done?
  11. shit no I am going to be doing a build for my cousin
  12. I was really interested in what the 15" Goliath could do it looks well built but so does some of Lanzar's stuff
  13. Bout damn time...lol j/k ....you must be bored!
  14. LMAO Just kidding, I was wondering if anyone could tell me what they think of Hifonics I have seen several users here that have their equipment I would like to know about sub performance , amp efficiency etc. etc.
  15. What is the difference between using one of the batteries by XS in the back of my vehicle and lets say a yellow top Optima?
  16. that's exactly how I'm gonna wire them I just want the best possible connection and at the terminals wouldn't give me that. The bolt idea is a good idea though I may use that if I can't find a soldering solution. Thanks for the input
  17. "Kind of like you made me look to see you reply to my question as "Google is your friend"....I am here because I want the best answer to a question without having to search a thousand links but I see answering questions isn't your best I see.
  18. I am going to be wiring 3 subs at a 1.34ohm load which will require daisy chaining speaker wire, and I would rather not use the terminals to do it because it would cause me to have to use smaller wire. Does anyone know where I can get 3 way wire splicers/connectors that can be soldered?
  19. Right on well that is 8 cu. twice advised I guess that is my answer thanks guys
  20. by the way these are going in a Geo Tracker I might have about 9 SQ ft. to work with
  21. I am getting ready to buy 2 15" XL's and the box specs is 3-5 cu. ft. each. I'm wondering what other owners have found to be the best setup for these so I can design the custom bow appropriately.
