  1. Dont worry about anything else said here. Your question is do you have a blown coil. Take your dmm and set to ohms. Check each coil separately. If they dont match, and 1 is jumping all over the place, then you have a blown coil and need a recone.

Thanks again. I did that and when wiggled the tinsel lead on the one that was bouncing it actually held a steady number. That's what was weird

  2. Ok so I have been having some major stomach issues lately so the doc ordered me an ultrasound, everything looks good except for I have what is possibly a 3mm kidney stone. Has anyone gone through this? I'm really wondering what to expect... Will it be a sudden onset of major pain or will it be gradual? How long does it take to pass? Can you function while passing a stone? Any suggestions or advice would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

I only have one friend that has gone through this and he makes it out to be no big deal, which I know is BS.

3 MM is nothing .. 7 months ago I was in the ER twice, for stones.. I was one more visit away from being forced to go to a urologist to get the stint...

Anywho , I consider to have a hi pain threshold and it brought me to my knees, and almost passed out from it... I had no Idea what it was... After I went the first time they gave me fluids and Percocet 7.5... ( That is an awesome drug fyi ) and I passed 2, that I strained... 3,5MM..

But the pain kept coming, so I went back a month later , got an ultrasound, and they found 31 visible stones, ranging from 4mm-9mm.. 17 of them were 6+ mm and were blocking my pipes, so all the water and fluids I got to try and pass them added even MORE pressure and bloating and made it worse.. so I was stuck to meds again.. ended up passing 8 more after the first 2....

    Thats my story :)

And like I said 3mm is nothing, you should pass them easily

    EDIT

Oh and like Melisa said, they come without warning, and very sharp pains, that start from your lower back and travel around your side, then down to the urethra... Very painful little suckers if theyre big, or unless your Hank Hill

  3. Thanks again guys.

I picked ip the midnight blue 1/16 e revo. Batteries ate charging on the slow ass 4 hr charger that came with it. I seriously need a good hi end charger for both nickel and lipo so throw some suggestions at me.

I debated for abbot an hour in the store today between the revo, emaxx and The 2wd slash ( all vxl and 1/10 besides the revo ) but decided to go with mini me. ;)

Gotta stop off at Wally world and pick up some AA rechargeables tonight for the transmitter then home to rip around the driveway for a bit. Recharge the batts and be ready to roll tomorrow

How bad is it to change the pinion?

  4. I would love to throw the Savage Flux in the hat. I always thought the Savage was a tougher truck. I had forgot they make an electric, but they are in serious comp with Traxxas. The debate between E-Maxx/Revo or Savage Flux get intense at hobby sites. Its equally as power are Traxxas' monster. I couldn't choose.

All different types of trucks bro.. What are you looking to do with it>??? That was the 1st question I was asked after 20 yrs out the game

  5. don't get the mini revo! get a slash 4x4, bashes good, races good, can do 60 mph on 3s lipo(w/different pinion) i've had a TON of different cars, and the mini e-revo is on my never again list.

Honestly bro .. I appreciate the post, but you are the first peron in about 100 ppl that have said anything negative about the Revo 1/16

The slash 4x4 is ugly imo lol ( yea yea its a electric toy ) but still .. My NEXT RC will be a brushless Revo or a Emaxx

  6. I kinda think it's a wise idea to go the electric route, especially nowadays like the OP said. With any nitro, you'll be buying fuel, glow plugs, batteries for the glow plug lighter, air filters, etc. It ain't cheap, which is why I'm trying so hard to get rid of mine. Treated correctly, a brushless system should require a heck of a lot less maintenance. I'll say it again- I'm a fan of Revos. The two vids posted show it can take a beating pretty well, like its larger sibling. However...2wd is more fun if you wanna be able to step the rear end out and slide the truck around (even) more...

For sure.. Its to hard to buy 1 RC for 10 different types of terrain/drivin.. but I think the Mini Revo is a good start ;)

Then I would like a nice 1/10 jumper

  7. there is just something I like about nitro, but I'm almost positive the electric RCs have more power at less weight. I know it takes a huge engine to probably get similar power. I want a monster to spinout, fling around, jump and whatever the hell I can think of. Can these take real messy situations like rain, mud or snow?

    you answered my Qs.

i THINK THIS HAS ENOUGH POWER FOR THAT... ;) oops Nitros are being overtaken by these new brushless electrics.. Heres the Mamba monster I talked about earlier in the Emaxx

  8. I'm partial to the new e-maxx it's a solid truck with a billion upgrade parts and accessories. The e-revo 1/16 seems like it may be a lil small but not sure what your tastes are. I know I'd go for the e-maxx for sure.

This is gonna be my first RC in a long time, and the Emaxx is a little spendy.. So If I get something a little cheaper just to see if Im into it, and actually do like it, Ill probably get that or the 1/8 Revo

How much are the new e-maxx'es? I've been out of the hobby for a few years. But yea I get ya on the getting your feet wet again, it can get expensive fast when your starting out.

    $675
