i had one and yes they are AWESOME, they do rated power if you can mantain your voltage around 14v , they take tons of abuse and barely get hot, not to mention they sound great IMO I buddy had 2 Crossfire BMF 15´s with that amp and was hitting 147 @ 41 hz all day long, so i say they do the job pretty good

Shouldn´t be too dificult, that car is very confortable on the back seat area, that means when you take the seats out, you´ll have tons of space for a wall, 2 18´s or 4 15´s should fit in there without any problems, you have the space, but, do you have the subs?electrical? amps and everything or you just starting to plan this for the future?

There should be printing companies around your area hommie, remember they print banners, well, for your information, banner rolls coome inside of a cardboard tube wich is 8" wide, they work AWESOME, and best of all, they are free!!!! Just go to a printing company and ask them to give you the cardboard tube, they always throw them away Here you have an example: And a box a friend made with them also, i have built a few with them but i don´t have any pic, best of all, they are easy as hell to flare P.S: I still think that box is too big, i wouldn´t do more than 2-2.2 per sub

using pvc maybe? didn´t know about aeroports only been 18" long, i always use PVC, i´m cheap! Anyways, yes that´s also the word i was looking for, remember that i´m still learning the language hehe, as i said, i would get the subs as far left as i could!

mwhat about using a single 8" port? that way you wouldn´t have a port so hidden on the back, also, i would get the subs as far left as i could, that way they would have a nice distance from the ports, i´m saying this because i think the same as Kynto, maybe it could affect at least some one sub been to close to the ports opening and the other not, but i´m not the best builder so i might be wrong

Also, voltage drops and impedance rise, after them your 3K is gonna give ths subs 2.5K if you are lucky enough to mantain the impedance rise low, so that´s why you see lots of people "overpowering" the subs, so you don´t have to worry about those things, look at my explorer for example, a SD 8K for 4 DD´s 2512 wich are 750 watts each one and they take it without ANY problems, no clipping is the key

haha yes according to him is to big, once again i haven´t play with that sub so don´t go that size, taking what my man said, then try something like 13"H x 24" W x 16" D , port 11.5"H x 1.8W x 25"D , that would give you 1.5 cubic feet and a 35 hz tuning with 13SQ of port per cubic feet.

why does he need a 26 hz tuning? you tune your boxes at the same frequency as the FS of the sub???? 26 hz is LOW as hell if you ask me, he´s gonna be able to play only C&S music and lows, i wouldn´t tune lower than 35 hz, specially on a single sub setup, but that´s just me.

WTF? 1/2" wood??? no way man, you need to go with at least 3/4" and brace it at least some, that sub is not only heavy, it´s loud as hell on a proper box!

i advicing him that size because of the power he has, also, that port size because the xmax isn´t small at all, but once again, i haven´t used that sub before so if you say i´m wrong then i guess you are right, nice input then!

i honestly don´t think you would be loud with that amplifier, i seriously hope you upgrade it later hommie, anyways, i would make the box 14"H x 30"W x 16"D , port 12.5"H x 2.5"W x 28"D giving you 2 cubic feet after displacement and 35 tuning with 14.5 SQ of port per cubic feet.

Are you saying that you can feel the bass less when you turn it up higher and higher? IDK what it's called, but at 10-20 I can feel the bass a little, then I turn it up and I have to almost max out the head unit to really feel the bump.. there is like a space in between...idk people´s waiting for you on your "waste of equipment" topic, go check it out!!

well, what kind of music you like the most? i also asked you about your old boxes so i can have an idea on how that sub perform on those box sizes, i´ve never designed something for that sub, but, something like 2.5 - 3 cubic feet and 38-45 SQ of port with a 35 hz tuning should play very nice!!
