  1. But seriously, 4 12s is easily enough to get crazy air moving, just dont expect those hfis to do very well. I did a pair of them in 4 cubes tuned to 33hz and they bottomed out on about 250 rms a piece. they didnt sound very great either, but I guess thats to be expected from 30 dollar speakers. I would do 2 better 15s than 4 low level 12s. Something like AQ SDC2.5 15s should move good, or perhaps dc level 3 15s? Thats just my recommendation. thanks for the suggestion. i want to stick with the 12's just bc of my plans to run the sa 12's once i have the cash for them. your right about them not sounding the best but they still do a great job considering the price
  2. i have seen people do hairtricks with 4 12s in ext cab trucks before so i know it can be done. im just not sure about the best tuning frequency for it to do that and hit the lows really good. im not really looking for numbers here
  3. i was kinda thinking that i didnt have enough power with this equipment. and i was hoping that with the right box i would be able to. so do u think that with the sa's i will be able to? what should i tune it too, maybe around 27-30hz?
  4. i have an 07 tacoma access cab and 4 12" hifonic hfi12d4 subs right now and a crappy hitron amp. the box i built for it is around 9.5ft^3 and tuned to around 35hz. i am going to be building a new glass box soon and plan to have the subs firing up and port firing forward and the port will be at the top of the box in between the seats. im hoping to have this box around 10ft^3 after displacement or larger and my question is what should i tune it to for the best chance of doing hairtricks? once i have enough money i plan to run 4 sa 12's and 2 audioque AQ2200D amps. thanks in advance
  5. I painted the face of the box to match the color of the car and the port black, wired everything up and screwed it all together and then tested it out Overall I am happy with the way it turned out and I learned a lot from this experience. I have never tried making trim panels before so this was a first and took longer than it should. Also there were a few things that I could have done to make it look a little better and some things that could have used some more attention. But like I said this is the first time I have worked on a customers car and I charged him a low rate so I can try to get my name out there and also gain experience which I feel like I did. Any criticism is appreciated. Thanks for looking
  6. I wrapped the trim panel in carpet to match the trunk and added some white led's
  7. Time for the box. About 2ft^3 and tuned to around 38hz Don't mind the out of place looking triangle pieces, those were strengthened with another piece of wood and sealed up
  8. I bent these metal tabs and bolted them to the top plastic piece and the top of the hu bracket to keep it from sagging down in the future. I had to grind down each bolt for clearance And there u have it, a custom mounted double din
  9. Now that I have the new clarions installed I started working on the dash to get the double din to fit. I superglued these plastic spacers in to raise the hu high enough to look right
  10. bear with me, I'm trying to figure out how to post these pics the right way. and this is done now so I'm trying to upload it all at once
  11. This is an install that I did for a customer in his 1993 190E. He wanted a double din in place of the single din, one 12, and all the speakers replaced. I did some searching around for him and found him some good deals on products that would get the job done. Although they aren't the best products I am overall satisfied with how it turned out and the sound it really nice and crisp. (This is my first install for a customer and I learned a lot from it, I am working my way up to hopefully be able to do this for a living) The start:
  12. i just looked through this, great job! so much better than the shit that was in there before. i feel for your buddy that paid for that. but what a turn around!
  13. looks awesome. djm has some pretty good arms, but not so great if your trying to lay frame on 20s in a ranger lol but that is completly different.
