heres what i found.. i think this should work... input? thoughts?> opinions? any body know of dayton audio and precison ports are interchangable? dayton audio port tubing is like 9.51 ft you get 16" piece for 16 bux.. or as you see the precsion port kit comes with the tubes flares everything for only few dollars more, but ill need these dayton couples and elbows to make it all work ????? not quite sure i follow what your asking? as far as 90 elblows i figures if i made ports out of 4" pvc then i could get elblow that way, unless someone knows a place i could find what i need

hey whats up bro, yeah thats what i was kinda thinking? thas why i wondered if it may be better to move ports to front, but if i do that then id have to put a either 90 degree eblow on the port or a 45 degree... which i wouldnt think that would be a issue since most slot ports are 90 degrees.. but again i have no idea.. i jsut want it to sound the best that it can! plus if ports were in front it'd be a like a revrse flow a/c system lol all the air movement

according to calculator on psp.. they need to be 21.1118 long for a 35hz tune... now my box is 56 wide the hump is 15.5 wide so that leaves 19.5 inchs of room for the ports. so in my eyes (and i am by NO means experinced in this) i either need to curve/bend the ports to accomodate the extra length, or move the ports to front of enclosure and 90 then to accomodate the length.. will there be diffrence in performancewith dooing ports one of these ways mentioned?

or i also considered puttng the ports on the front of the box above the hump then using 90 elbows to accomedate length needed?

ok thanks, aslo does anyone think that i may have aissue with the ports with being so close to the hump in the middle of the box? i figured i could heat and slightly curve the ports upward to clear the hump?

oh also only thing ill change is that the port will be on top side of box instead of bottom as theres a small hump in the floor, there fore the bottom of the box will be a fiberglass mold of the actuall floor to utilize every inch under them seats

Well im in the process right now for building a box for 4 sa8s in my 92 silverado, im going to lift the seat 2 inches. The Width is 62'' The Depth is 14.5'' The Front Hieght is 11.5'' The Rear Hieght is 7.5'' Fiberglassed the bottom and going to add another baffle to front. Going to have 2 4'' aero ports in the middle with 2 45 going opposite ways behind subs. port displacment is around .30-.35 Sub displacment is .40 I filled the enclosure with water and got about 3.2 Cubes so with all displacments i should have 2.4 - 2.5 cubes net internal Tuned to 34 hertz. Note not done yet this is mid build of my box, just trying to help. i got a aq1200d in my beater cadillac off stock elcetrical running 1 ohm and at full tilt my volt at the lowest hit 12.8 but usually stays high 13s low 14.s their great amps! im thinkin about really puttin my to the test and tryin to run it at .5 ohms and how she'll handle it.. if anyones done that feel free to chime in,lol

idk which is better.. prolly should go on top id imagine so tha can load off that or maybe downfire? ideally,,, id like to get the most spl out the limited space i have... on the same token SQ is nice to have with spl as obviously this by now mean would be a spl monster

umm not 100% sure... was thinking like 35hz? idk what SDA recommends for air space or tuning...
